"I wonder how accurate the Exit Poll will be? They got it massively wrong in 2015 and 2016 with Brexit. I'm staying up for the Exit Poll then heading to bed. Nothing exciting happens until the early hours anyway ..." That is right too, it will show more who will win later on, lets see how right the polls will be.

"For the first time in 30 years instead of saying up watching it and booking the day after off to catch up on sleep I;m off to bed. I'm genuinely too scared to watch. The best result (as a Labor voter) is a potential hung parliament and a Labout/SNP coalition, and that is a very loose use of the word best as it will be a disaster for the country it that happens. The one thing that is certain is that whatever happens Britain will not be stronger nor more stable tomorrow than it was 2 minths ago" I agree. May's hubris in calling this election is as far from strong and stable/stable and strong as you can get.

If she gets the majority she inherited from Cameron she has created a bigger problem for herself than when she started. Except, she gives herself two more years in power.

"oooh.. that would be a hung parliament.... but remember sinn fein don't take up their seats... so the cons could do it with the help of the northern ireland parties...." It's only an exit poll I'm still pretty confident the tories will get an overall majority when the real results come in. The exit poll underestimated the tory vote in 2015. If the exit poll is right then it looks like a conservative/DUP coalition will form a government.

"That's may fucked No that would be the country fucked, if it happened. The currency exchanges dont like the thought of corbyn " Most analysis I've seen has said that whilst a Labour win would cause a short term drop the markets would welcome a softer brexit and it would be better in the long run. I don't think the currency markets like the sound of a hung parliament though. -Matt

"Having serious imagination issues with a conservative Scottish nationalist coalition That will never happen all snp voters hate the tories and everthing they stand for I thought that too until I spoke to a few last week in a very marginal seat. They've swung the other way. I think I might have spoken to one off them too Bloody swingers, eh? " Yep I tried my hardest to turn her

"Sunderland central labour win" Swing from Labour to the conservatives again though. Yet again suggests the exit poll is wrong and has underestimated the Tory vote. That swing could gain more tory seats in more marginal ones.

"Sunderland Central Labour hold, as expected. Better for Conservatives. " Another swing of 2.3% from labour to cons! Exit poll looking increasingly shaky? Early doors yet tho.....

"Sunderland Central Labour hold, as expected. Better for Conservatives. " Looks in the rough as if the UKIP vote has mainly gone to conservative. The snippet from Hastings is interesting, anyone got the time machine handy?

"Swing towards conservatives in areas that voted for Brexit. I'd suggest that could be rather telling too" That was to be expected. I think Labour made a mistake not accepting the tactical vote options that other parties offered them. Local party members were threatened with expulsion or suspension for doing local deals.

"Looking remarkably good for the Conservatives in Scotland. Exit poll predicts a worse night for the SNP than they were expecting (apparently)." On the basis of only 10 surveys? Lets wait and see.

"Newcastle East......decent swing from cons to labour....... as predicted with a big student vote and a remain area. Still a better result for Labour than the Sunderland seats! Still a bit back n forth!" Like a swing.

"Newcastle North.....another remain area and safe labour seat. Swing from Labour to Cons again..... This time in a remain area so not too clever for labour again?" The percentages look like the division of the UKIP vote (in a strongly Brexit area).

"Can we let Newcastle decide for us and be done now? If that swing is repeated across the country it would mean a Conservative majority of 80 odd." No, I mean can the fact Labour took Newcastle mean we can just have Labour in government!
