"labour's 30 billion
is it me or are they buying votes ?" It is difficult to see how any financially responsible person would even consider voting for all these uncosted promises. Fingers crossed that common sense will prevail and that the current government is returned. |

No, indeed. No-one financially responsible should vote for these un-costed promises. Unfortunately, there are enough people in this country as confused as you are as to which party has costed their manifesto and which one hasn't.
Which alas means you are right, the current government will likely be returned. Despite the only numbers in their manifesto being the page numbers. No common sense at all. Just indoctrinated by The Sun and The Mail... did you see their front pages today by the way Pat? Still don't get it?

-Matt" Probably best to wait for the outcome of the election before coming to any conclusion . The electorate have heard all the pros and cons of the policies proposed by both parties and will draw their own conclusions.
I found the front page article to which you refer to be interesting and highly informative . I could never bring myself to support terrorist sympathisers especially having being brought up in a country where terrorists operated on a regular basis and caused untold misery to many people

Only two types of people vote Conservative, millionaires or the misguided.
To find out which you are, look in your wallet.
The truth is that the election is being bought by 5 incredibly wealth billionaire newspaper moguls, who manage to convince millions of people to vote against their own self interest. It would be funny if it weren't so damaging and depressing. |

You talk of terrorist sympathisers.
Who sells the arms to the Saudis?
Which nation gives most support and arms to terror groups, the Saudis.
Corbyn spoke to members on both sides of historic conflicts in attempts to bring about peace.
May sells arms to dictators, despite and terror funders. Who makes us safer? |

I would have thought that a stable strong economy is in the best interests of any financially responsible citizen. It is hard to see why anyone would choose to vote against their own self interest. |

I'm sorry to get into a slanging match.
But I have been listening to all the radio debates going on, TV, news outlets (i ignore news papers) and reading comments on Facebook, here, twitter etc..
And I really do find the Conservative attitude patronising.
It's the whole," if you don't vote for us you must be stupid and ignorant, uneducated oik "
While I may not be private school educated, I don't consider myself stupid.
Of course I don't believe for one minute that labour are going to be able to keep their promises, but I don't trust may and her sycophants one iota.
You don't need to be financially astute to realise that the conservatives are only looking out for the top earners in the country.
Including themselves. |

Everyone should use their vote, and vote with impunity.
Unfortunately, the most used words you'll see posted on here tomorrow will be "stupid", "blind", "delusional", "ignorant" etc
And that goes for whichever way the result goes. |

If Jeremy Corbyn is elected we can look forward to years of austerity . The Conservatives have a proven track record of managing the economy. On a simplistic basis, the Labour party is for takers , the Conservatives for gives. |

Many people have done. Alas damage done. The papers know this. They can print what they want today no matter how untrue and then put an apology in afterwards in a few weeks.
Remember, Torys said they will drop the second part of Levinson. Wonder why The Sun and Mail are backing them? If in doubt just follow the money.

Again, Pat, stop trying to use the FTSE as your sole barometer for the health of the country. Which companies are in the FTSE 100? 100 big ones.
What about the fact that the UK now has the lowest wage growth apart from Greece? And by growth, I mean it would negative. Ie wages are *falling*.

-Matt" Would wage growth matter.? Surely what is important is spending power ? We have one of the strongest performing economies in Europe . The various FTSE indices are a good real time indication of how the country is performing .
These are companies that are adding value to the economy and paying many people's pensions.

That's it worry about 30 billion borrowed to invest in infrastructure and creating jobs...
Don't give a seconds thought to the 800 billion borrowed to cut 100's of thousands of jobs over the last 7 years and DOUBLE THE WEALTH of the top 1%, after all that's the cost of doing business... |
