But man is the first to actually have the ability to use knowledge and technology, to adapt faster or even take advantage of the changes ! And don't use the old "unprecedented" rate of change argument ! Its BS ! Geological records and even ice core samples have proved that radical changes in climate have occurred before with time frames as little as 30 years And this was before man roamed the earth! Some of the glaciers and ice sheets people going on about werent even there a 1000 years ago ..or less ! If all this melting had a profound influence as some say the sea level would have risen a lot ! But ... it hasnt ! Adaptation makes a lot more sense and is economically more viable then mitigation ! Trying to change the planets climate makes as much sense as trying to empty the ocean with a bucket ..... yes sure you will have an "impact" ... but how much and at what cost ? | |||
