there are roles in life for all.... unfortunately the educated elite would like to alter the balance of life to suite their PC consciousness.

Depends on what youre talking about. Its a very vague title. Should employers be gender neutral when hiring? Yes.

Are you talking about the recent acting awards that changed from seperate male and female categories to gender neutral ones? Thats not something I have an issue with or particularly care about. Its their awards they can do what they like.

Or are you talking about some bizarre conspiracy theory to eliminate genders completely in which case my opinion is more needs to be done to proactively help people with mental illness.

Indeed ! That "educated" elite is actually applying it in Sweden , and the results have been bizarre !

They even created a gender neutral designation when referring to the sexes!

It actually resulted quite funny

Him - Hon , Her- han , Hen - gender neutral So....so if its not a him , or a her ...its a Hen

Guess what happened when Gender neutral toilets were implemented ?

Chaos....

Gender neutral pronouns have been proposed here too with the use of ze rather than he or she. Others were proposed but I forgot them because they're weird. I'm fine with he or she, just address the person as they are presenting. When I'm dressed feminine then she/her is logical. Bloke mode would be he/his. I would suggest that anyone with enough free time to worry about this probably needs a job or a hobby or both.

Maybe the op is referring to people who bring up their children as gender neutral. Seems strange to me, as a parent you are there to guide and nurture your children through their early years..

Men and women share more similarities than differences so in a way it's good people are being judged on the merits of their abilities and qualities rather than being marginalised or discounted unfairly through their birth gender designation.

Those who wish to live their lives in a way that conforms to a traditional gender role are free to, those who wish to do otherwise have an option to do so..

this in short is basically what gender neutrality means to me, personally. No one is trying to snatch away or abolish traditional concepts of gender dynamics.. contrary to the alt rights propaganda.

Mmmmm.... not quite !

"No one is trying to snatch away or abolish traditional concepts of gender dynamics.. contrary to the alt rights propaganda."

Its not propaganda!

It may not be a serious trend in the UK yet..... but it will get there if common sense doesn't prevail.

The best example is Sweden !

Its already happened there ! And its a useful glance of what the future might bring !

It started as a PC move by the left , and now its law and causing havoc leading to legal problems and local councils rolling back measures already in place !

As a curious note , and since you mentioned the "alt right" it might interest you to know that in Sweden the LGBT vote is overwhelmingly in the party that is on the right wing of the spectrum , and what some refer to (wrongly) as extreme right !

Care to guess why ?

I'd guess the influx of Muslims and the socially regressive and socially destructive customs associated with the "CULTure".

Pim Fortuyn (an openly gay Dutch politician assassinated by a neoliberal zealot) was the first to voice and campaign for office based on the worrying regressive nature of the mediaeval nationalist Arab Cult of Islam.

Certainly I agree some in the left are borderline lunatic, neglecting real issues to pursue frivolous things.

I certainly disagree with people being villified or ostracized for expressing an innately felt component of their gender identity.

I like and enjoy the contrasting differences between the genders but conversely dislike person's being truncated in what they can do with their lives due to gender discrimination.

Well lets see !

In schools , starting in kindergarten all all the way to uni, a lot of complaints from parents !

- No privacy

- A lot of peeking over& under stalls ! mainly by boys .

- Girls complained urinols smelled bad .

- Boys had to be extra careful when using urinols , or risk being accused of indecent exposure!

- inappropriate touching and groping .

- Harassment of girls by boys !

- Refusal of some students to comply to the rules ! (religious reasons)

In adult environments some of the problems were the same as the schools , but also :

Women complained men were "spraying" all over the place , which made the toilets dirty and smelly !

Solution...... men were told to sit on the toilets like women to take a pee !

On some toilets urinols were taken away as it caused the men to "expose" themselves !

Actual sexual assault inside toilets ! ( newcomers mostly )

The biggest outcry actually came from "New Swedes" and Immigrants who invoked religious and cultural reasons not to comply ! If women and men dont mix in most places , imagine them being so close and "exposed" in a common toilet ? ....its Haram !

So....mostly in deference and in respect of "cultural" and religious practices rules were ....relaxed or..... not enforced.....

A far better solution would be for everyone to learn to speak chinese. Their langauge is gender neutral. It would be great for trade relations and let's face it we need those. Since most Americans can barely master english then it would be a great competitive advantage.
