With the recent revelations that she 'has always been in favour of Fox-hunting' and reported plans to allow a free vote in the commons on repealing the ban
It is reported that 84% of the electorate are against Fox-Hunting, so has the Prime Minister just scored an own goal, or is she hoping that the majority of us will 'just let this go' and vote Conservative just to get Brexit sorted. |

No way!
What I'm saying is that all the signs are that essentially, the election is hers to lose.
I get the impression that this is a story that has been leaked, rather than having been officially announced, but I just don't think it's a very sensible policy.
My local MP is a conservative, and has held the seat for donkeys years - he received a Knighthood within the past couple of years too, and I do know that he would vote against repealing the ban, so I may still be inclined to support him |

After the brexit vote and May taking office I said it was my belief that she would trigger article 50 find an excuse to call a general election prior to us leaving the EU and then trow the election. I still think that is what we are watching unfold.
The fact is that there is a high probability that leaving the EU will trigger a recession in the UK and the breaking of the Union with Scottish Independence and a return to the troubles in NI. I believe that the Tories are working on this being the outcome in 2 to 3 years time and them having 2 to 3 years to persuade the country that it is Labours fault that the country is fucked and not theirs. A bit like it took them 3 years to persuade everyone that the global financial crisis was Labours fault even tho it was caused by corrupt bankers operating in an unregulated market set up by Thatcher and Reagan. |

Your analysis of the financial crisis is factually incorrect. The instruments that enabled the financial crisis were only made legal and possible by the 1999 financial services modernization act signed into law by bill clinton. Specifically the use of credit default swaps which increased significantly from 2000. You could also place some responsibility on George Bush who forced government enterprises to lend to people they otherwise wouldn't have and those who accepted credit they didn't deserve should take some responsibility as well. There were a lot of cuntish bankers too but you can't possibly have a system that relies on bankers not being cunts. |

There are plenty of things we wouldn't want to invent starting today, alcohol being one. The objections to it are mainly grounded in reverse snobbery hence the constant references to toffs. Plus the people against it tend to be smelly hippy types and i find the red jackets rather fetching. |

I have to say that although I personally find hunting with hounds distasteful to say the least and fox hunting the most distasteful of all I do think banning it was wrong. Not because it is 'traditional' because it is not, but because in my experience hunting is a very inefficient way of controlling fox numbers whereas now farmers have no alternative but to use shooting and gassing are extremely efficient and will eventually lead to the extinction of foxes in the countryside. |

I hate the thought of animals being torn apart by hounds. My Grandfather would never let the hunt on his land and used to prowl around when the hunt met in the village driving them off.

I have no problem with hunting as a means of animal control and welfare but it's not a sport. Fox hunting with hounds, hare coursing and the like should be consigned to the dark ages. |

Interestingly, most of the prosecutions under the hunting (with dogs) act have been on people coursing hares or rabbits with sighthounds, a distinctly more "workingmans" activity. |

No I expect them to respect the peoples land they hunt over and keep off newly sown crops or stick to the field edge,they used to collect fallen stock to feed the hounds which was a useful service to farmers who's land they used to hunt over, our local one has now stopped that and with their superior attitude they are losing any goodwill with landowners. Luckily we are bordered by a couple of rivers and roads so dont get the nags but the hounds sometimes come here, |

I very much doubt anyone else of this thread defending foxes has ever walked into a chicken house and seen hundreds of them killed by a single fox in a single night. They are a pest and that's why I hate them. I accept it's nicer just to shoot or poison them but it doesn't really bother me how they die, as long as they do die. I've never been fox hunting, it doesn't appeal one bit as I'm not fond of horses but they are beautiful. |

I found my daughters big white beautiful rabbit beheaded in january.She cried for weeks.Neither of us wanted revenge or wanted the fox dead. If anyone loves the NHS ( brought to you by Labour) that alone should make you want to vote anything but Tory. The Health minister has ever written a book about dismantling the NHS, and keeps popping over to the US on fact finding trips. The police numbers are dwindling , they've cut numbers by over 20,000, closed fire stations , police stations, etc leaving us all worse off when it comes to security , while at the same time doing deals with the saudi's who are the biggest state sponsor of terrorism, and holding hands with trump while going on bombing missions that puts the profits of the arms companies before the people. Turning a blind eye to saudi's beheadings and beatings .. The current regime are a bunch of hypocrites, and to make matters worse.. their manifesto is all about taking stuff back.. Nothing offers hope at all.. all take take take, apart from the billionaires who contribute to Tory party funds, who are given more tax breaks it all stinks and we continue to let them get away with it, because we are controlled by their friends in the media. Time for change .. I shall be voting Labour this time "

Not sure OP.
If the tories are doing so well in the opinion polls, she may be able to afford more controversial policies, then if they win the election and goes ahead with them she can say the people voted for them and wave the manifesto about. |

ive no faith in any of the current choices.the parties or the people in them ..so cant really vote for them .. tho i agree it is a waste |
