Do you think we will be caught in the crossfire if America start Bombing North Korea?
And for god sake Jeremy Corbyn is on about getting rid of our nukes. What a fuckwitt. It's better to be looking at it then for it.

actually the "nukes" are the Americans - we just lease them, and before we can fire them the Americans have got to give the OK to do so. |

Not quite accurate... the missiles are American made but they have been purchased not leased,the maintenance of the missiles is where the American lease myth comes from, think of a servicing plan you pay a main car dealer for,bypu own the car but you pay then to service it, there are around 40 odd in the uk with a further 70 located in a American based facility, the warheads, 3 per missile are UK owned and built , a further myth is the "codes" they need no code, the American tridents (not British trident) are equipped with a passive link system which does need a code, ours do not, ours are launched on the authority of the serving PM at the time but the Sub commander can also launch autonomously if required. There is also the myth of the US just switching off the GPS... they are not GPS guides so not sure how that would work other than a lot of people getting lost just before they're turned to toast.

No, war with the DPRK is the same as war with China.
The media narrative around Trump, Kim-Jung Un and Xi Jinping is about as backwards as it could be. Kim-Jung Un is one of the most rational, level headed leaders in the world. That's what makes him so fucking scary, he's in a shit negotiating position and has no morals.
Xi Jingping could get rid of Kim Jung-Un in 12 months. He doesn't actually need to do anything other than stop bankrolling the fucking country. Without Chinese support, the DPRK would starve (again) and after a while the army would over throw the Kim dynasty. The only reason they even exist is because China doesn't want Americans on it's border.
In summary Xi Jinping and Trump will work something out because neither want a war, everything else you read is just posturing to try and get a better deal for one side or the other |
