I know that some people will bleat on about taking the country down, but since the global crisis in 2008, the U.K. had managed to achieve 103rd out of 112 in terms of our real terms wage growth.
Out of the OECD countries only Greece has had a worst real world wage growth than us. The surprising thing? Poland has had the higest growth in real terms wages. Maybe we should be staying in the EU so we can all migrate to Poland?

These are very similar to results from the TUC in January as well.
But hey, vote Tory for more of the same failed economic policies!

And since 2008 there has only been a Tory government for 2 years.
But hey, why let facts get in the way? |

"Maybe without a plentiful and readily available supply of cheap labour wages just might have risen a bit more eh"
And maybe Poland is doing so well now because of all those Poles that came here and sent a large chunk of their wages back to their families in their homeland each month. |

How would that affect the domestic real term wages in Poland though?

By putting more disposable income money in the pockets of Poles in Poland who spend it on the Polish economy, there by helping Polish businesses to do better and increase wages. |

They would also have had to increase wages to deter workers from travelling to the UK in the first place. The more that happens the more likely wages will rise in the UK. The problen is that the EU is continually looking to expand into poorer countries and insisting on austerity measures for struggling southern eurozone members to maintain a supply of cheap labour |

I dont find it surprising at all to be honest.
The price of labour is a supply and demand item like anything else and then you throw in EU subsidy to polish infrastructure.
Its not rocket science |

It was a tory government in all but name ..the lib dems sold themselves and their agenda down the river for the chance to sit at the big table |

The Lib Dems and the Tories both made big changes to their plans in order to govern in coalition. Thus it was a coalition government. Not Tory....
I'm absolutely loving the "Find any old anti-Tory bollocks and paste it on here" approach to getting people on side though.
Fact, logic and reason doesn't stand a chance. |

Don't blame them really. Nick Clegg must have doubled his earning for being deputy Prime minister and then there's the parachute payment when you leave office. What the fuck would you do if you were elected to parliament and 5 years on a gravy train beckoned.
I think they did a bloody marvellous job. Wish we could have them back. Hey now there's a thought. Now then. Wasn't there a lounge lizard lookalike labour chap left a joke note saying there's no money. How true that turned out to be. What happened to that guy ? |

They had to go up in Polabd as there was a shortage of Polish workers in Poland. The missing workforce being here? |
