Following on from the Nicola Sturgeon threads i read an article yesterday which stated that there are 3 times the number of Scottish jobs reliant on trade with England than the EU. Just thought i'd put that out there. |

Nicola is being led by the nose...Salmond is pulling the strings with the rank and file much to her annoyance. She is much more risk averse the he is....Hence she had been railroaded into indy 2 call...This election is also a golden chance to enhance her standing ........or to blow up in her face....we shall see x |

One of the concerns over Brexit is loss of trade, plenty of people are getting into a tiz over that. This is the same thing. |

Does she need to enhance her standing since she took over the reigns at the SNP ..since she took over the SNP has never been so popular in scotland (including 2016 scottish election and 2015 general election) next month fully expect another drubbing for the labour and tory run councils in scotland |

Well, following the logic, it would surely be easy and quick to do a trade deal between the two nations after Brexit and independence. |

Not all trade would stop, but it would take a hit. To think otherwise is naive. |

Trade, tourism, everything. I know some on here say "off you go Scotland" but there are many others in the rest of the UK that would be upset that Scotland chose to leave. Those people are less likely to then spend their £ in Scotland. I think that there are many people who may therefore not chose to visit Scotland on holiday, or might chose a product from another country over one they know that comes from Scotland. This could be individual consumers picking up a KitKat rather than a Tunnocks tea cake, or business (small, medium or large) choosing not to use a Scottish supplier etc etc.
All this is very hard to quantify, but it would happen. |

Why are you assuming it's only the English that would feel that way?
If Scotland were to become independent, and then a part of that independent Scotland wanted to itself become independent, for arguments sake let's say one of the islands or groups of islands, would you also support that? |
