Quite Right the brexit press are in uproar that the UK are going to lose their prestigious EU Medicine and Banking agencies.
Well done David Davis for refusing to meekly accept this ridiculous self punishment.
If we don't stand up to this type of thing the next thing we know Brussels will be banning our so called 'democratic' MEP's from the European Parliament after brexit as well. |

What is amusing is the way the tabloids are billing it as the EU 'punishing' the U.K. by moving the agencies out of the UK.
WTF?!
It is not a 'punishment'. We are leaving the EU. Why would the EU keep an agency of theirs in the non-member state?

And why would banking jobs dealing with European transactions stay in the UK either? Isn't Lloyds the latest to say that they are having to set up a new office in the EU due to passporting rights?

Lloyds of London is insurance, I was talking about Lloyds Banking Group, but both are moving jobs out of the UK to Germany as a direct result of a hard Brexit. |

I think the OP was more referring to the 'outrage' of the tabloid media trying to paint the the EU is 'punishing' the EU by moving these agencies out. Talk about spin!

I think the key word there is "despite" a hard Brexit. I don't think that we have seen a single article about even one job being created in the UK "because" of a hard Brexit. |

You miss the point. It is. It whether he or I read the Sun and the likes (I think this case was The Express). But more the fact that there are millions of people who do read it. This is how the media manipulate things. If you had any doubt that the lies told by the leave campaign had any effect this is an example of
