Chechnya is a self-governing Islamic republic in all but name. From Wiki:

The gays being tortured and killed might expect western liberals to help them but they don't realise that as we've seen in relation to FGM and headscarves, PC western liberals get far more distressed at the prospect of being labelled as islamophobic or racist rather than stand up for gays being tortured and murdered in an Islamic state. Tricky one this. I have no issue with Islam as frankly it preaches love and respect in the main.
Actually I take great offence to people hiding behind a False misrepresentation of God to Justify behaviour that is the diametric Opposite to the intentions of a God that basis itself on Love. Is that Not the definition of Blasphemy?
As for these poor Guys being torchered i dont give a dam what the eledged justification for it is! It is Unjust and Barbaric and we should speak out! |

Muslim-run concentration camp update.
Speaking on the Victoria Derbyshire show, Novaya Gazeta journalist Elena Milashina who broke the news of the camps said that a jihad had been declared on her and the staff at her outlet after 15,000 people met in the biggest mosque in Chechnya and denounced the paper and journalists who published the original story. She says she is now in hiding fearing for her life.
