Obama had Donald Trump's phone tapped during election campaign.

In the last hour it has been on the news that during the Presidential election campaign the sitting President Barack Obama had Donald Trump's phones tapped. For all the Democrat party's posturing and allegations about Russian interference in the election campaign, how can the Democrats now take the moral high ground when a sitting Democrat President had the leading Republican party candidate phones tapped? President Trump has put out a series of Tweets about this in the last hour, this is a national disgrace for American democracy. Obama's behaviour is disgraceful, he should hang his head in shame.

Is there any real proof or is it more fake news?

He's basing this on an article yesterday from Breitbart news who is turn are basing their article last april from the guardian about the FBI applying for a FISA warrant to investigate network traffic between a computer server in Trump Tower and a bank in Russia.

In summary, no substance whatsoever just a series of fools repeating a lie. Centaur, don't be a horse's ass.

Not everyone, but for world leaders and their close staff and advisors, yes. It certainly limits the ability for backdoor dealings.

ahem... now centaur you should know better....

you thread should be called "Trump CLAIMS Obama wiretapped him....

as with most of Trumps claims on most subjects... he hasn't actually provided any evidence that this was the case.....

the problem is that this is trumps m.o ...... one right wing blogger put this out there as a conspiracy theory... and this is now being put out by breitbart.... and lo and behold trump brings in it up and fox news push it!!!!

isn't it "convienient" that this pushes another russian story and trump off a front page.......

and trump puts most of his controversial tweets out there on a saturday morning.....its like he likes to let things stew for a weekend

Come on OP, any good reporting on this explicitly said that there was absolutely nothing to prove this and that the President doesnt even order wiretaps like this. Its the police or FBI.

Between this and relying on Katie Hopkins as a reliable source of information Ive got to wonder why people who read this arent a little more questioning about what they read.

plus vp mike pence having to fight off revelations that he had his own private email server and WAS actually hacked whilst he was govenor of Indiana... the same thing clinton was getting bashed for (although she was never actually hacked)

trump had to find some way to get the subject changed..... there are only so many apprentice tweets that can be justified so he threw out this bone...

be interesting to see who the trump administration send out on the sunday morning US political shows to try and do "damage control"

The NSA has been responsible for much of the surveillance, tapping and monitoring and it has run itself almost as a state-within-a-state. If anyone in the US government has been tapping phones it's almost certainly the NSA but they definitely would not do it for Obama's benefit.

For the record I was never a fan of Obama, from day one I thought he'd turn out to be another Blair and I think he did. I really dislike Hillary Clinton's foreign politics as well.

Oh such a short memory you have Fabio. Have you already forgotten about the fake news story CNN ran along with Buzzfeed about Trump hiring Russian prostitutes.

www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/news/donald-trump-4chan-rumours-document-real-russia-sex-claims-prostitutes-a7520841.html

The story also claimed Trumps friend Michael Cohen had been in Czech Republic meeting Russians and later Cohen called the story out to be fake news and showed his passport to prove he had never been to Czech Republic in his entire life. Turns out the CNN fake news was referring to a different Michael Cohen all along, lol.

If i remember correctly Fabio you were one of the first people to post about this story here on this forum, pity you and CNN didn't check your sources before you made a fool of yourself, but as we saw during the election campaign everything in your world must be true if CNN says its true, lol.

CNN never published or broadcast details of the prostitution or golden shower allegations. Buzzfeed did and when that happened CNN came out with a very tough statement condemning Buzzfeed for publishing those details.

Donalds campaign has already been shown to have been meeting and working with the Russians and then hiding it.

Its good that your engaged in politics, its a shame that you have so many things completely wrong.

THAT is why at the press conference the follow day all of the press were shocked/annoyed/angry (yes, even people at fox news) that BUZZFEED and CNN had been merged together in his rant...

FWIW, there is currently a lot of investigations going on into the Michael Cohen thing. He has provably lied about his location around that time. He has also been yet unable to produce any evidence he was in the US at the time of the meeting.

So if running a news story without documented evidence is the basis for describing it as 'Fake News' should it also be accepted that unless Trump provides evidence of Obama ordering his phones to be tapped is also 'Fake News'?

Or are there to be two versions of 'Fake News'?

I await the proof of tapping to be published before I pass judgement on the issue.....as surely everyone should?

Obama has a new hobby now. Instead of golf he likes watersports with Richard Branson on his private island.

You've completely ignored any questions on the truth of your first posting. So, you know it's bullshit but you can't bring yourself to admit it.

Wishing something was true doesn't make it true.

Can you disprove what Trump said? If you can't disprove it then how can you say it's bullshit? Many of these so called leaks about allegations relating to Russia have not had the sources named yet you readily believe what is being reported on it by the likes of CNN?

So you prefer guilty until proven innocent? I could make many allegations about you that you can't disprove. Doesn't mean you're guilty of them.

Plus trump's connection about Russia hasn't been disproved.

So you believe Trumps connection to Russia on a guilty until proven innocent basis then?

Er...the post that you just responded to was pointing out the hypocrisy of your position and you didn't even notice "

Exactly. I'm not a huge fan of any president. Not all liberals are the same.

No. The passport he showed has no Czech stamp in it. That is all. He could still have gone there. In fact, if the chief lawyer for Trump went to Prague to pay off the Russian Intelligence for their part in the interference in the country's election, did have a stamp in his passport, I'd say he's pretty shit at this.

Kilkenny, but Dublin is more fun

You seem to think "fake news" means anything critical of Trump when the pro Trump nonsense like Breitbart and Fox are even more guilty.

This wiretapping affair looks like another absolute nonsensical conspiracy theory (And Trump is very fond of them after all. Look at his support of Alex Jones) but IF it turns out to have some level of credibility, it means that the intelligence agencies had enough evidence on him to encourage a federal judge to grant them a warrant.

On Steele's allegations of his affairs with Russian escorts, that's looking more possible too, especially with suspicious death of the ex-KGB official alleged to have leaked the information before New years.

Without sounding too patronising, logic is not your strong point. To claim something is truth because it has because it hasn't yet been proven false is very unsound thinking. You started this thread repeating the assertion that President Obama had Donald Trump's phones tapped. An assertion offered without any proof. The onus is the person making the assertion to offer proof.

If it is true that Trumps communications were monitored, then this is actually bad news for Trump. A warrant from a FISA court would had required the appicants to show probable cause.

Ok, so the critical part of your brain isnt kicking in so Ill step in for it. The US routinely monitors key Russian personnel and has done since the 2nd world war. Its not a secret or even an open secret. Its a well known fact. So most of Levins quoting from papers regarding Flynn and Sessions is based off those monitoring efforts.

We also already knew that there were several government agencies investigating Russian influence on the election and that they have been for a while.

The FISA court ordered investigation was referred to as illegal in your third video. Which of course its not because the judges ruled on the legality of the investigation and found it to be legally sound and the FISA rulings cant be appealed to a higher court.

Your RT video also says that passing along the information found by the British spy was illegal. This is obviously nonsense, what would the illegality be for passing along a private companies dossier unless it was subsequently made secret by the US government?

Your using RT as a source. A Russian government owned media source whose goal is to disrupt the unity of the West to allow for divisions to grow so Russia can take advantage. Its ironic that you think youre seeing through the "liberal media bias" when instead youre being blinded by Russian political interests.

Its ironic that you think youre seeing through the "liberal media bias" when instead youre being blinded by Russian political interests."

Its your brain that doesn't seem to be working too well, most of the information in those 3 video links i posted seems to have gone straight over your head. I used 2 sources, RT was one the other one was Fox news, an American news media outlet. One flaw with your theory about RT anyway, Larry Johnson the guest on RT isn't Russian, he is an American citizen and a former CIA analyst and US state department official at that!

As Mark Levin said in the first clip the question isn't whether the Obama administration spied, its obvious it spied, the Obama administration went to the FISA court twice, the question is who did they spy on and what was the extent of the spying? The FISA court turned down the initial FBI request to spy on Trumps campaign which was illegal thats why the FISA court rejected it, and told them to narrow its focus. The 2nd FISA court request was successful. Mark Levin says the 2 FISA court requests should now be released so everyone can see what they were upto. All the evidence put together by Levin from mainly left wing newspapers suggests the Obama administration was using Police state tactics to try to derail Trumps campaign. Levin says Obama's statement that he knows nothing about any wire tapping of Trumps communications is Pathetic, how can he not know what is going on in 6 of his key Federal and law enforcement agencies? Obama is either lying or was extremely negligent in his job as President. Congress needs to see the daily President briefings over the last year so a proper investigation into what Obama was being told about this can come to light. I don't think we have heard the last of this and i think a full investigation into what was going on in the Obama administration could soon get underway.

Should be a full investigation on how arguably the most powerful man in the world can throw accusations around like confetti with no actual proof.the man is delusional.

Did anyone watch the joint congress address? Not a shred of info on how he was going to pay for all these grand plans.1trillion dollars of infrastructure?

Building the mexican wall and they will pay for it by america taxing imports from mexico? The first thing that mexico will do is tax american imports by an even greater number which will cost jobs but dont let that get in the way of a good bit of PR.

All these companies that are going to invest because of his administration but no mention of the fact that these companies had announced it before he got in!

Someone needs to take him in a quiet room, sit him down and beat some sense into him.Be a president rather than a rumour and scare monger.

Fox News has been routinely shown to be the most unreliable of the major networks in the last decade. And RT is still not to be trusted regardless of who appears on their show because they have a blatant aim of destabilising the west and sow division and disinformation.

Secondly the Obama administration isnt spying on anyone. The White House does not and can not direct the FBI to investigate individuals. The FBI of its own volition requested the FISA court order. Obama may or may not have seen information relating to that investigation, but he did not initiate it.

The FISA order wasnt rejected for being illegal in the first instance. It was felt to be too broad, which is actually the most common reason for FISA courts to reject requests so its not that unusual.

Obama never said that he knew nothing, thats a complete fabrication from fox news. His statement said that he never requested surveilance of any citizen of the United States. We already know that Obama was briefed on Russian actions during the election as was Trump.

Levins put together nothing at all. We know Russia is being investigated for interference in the election. No ones hidden that. This is old news and theres nothing objectionable about it. And theres still no evidence Obama had Trumps phone tapped.

I feel sorry for him too. It cant be easy to believe so strongly in lies and getting shown up repeatedly in here. At some stage its going to be shown how much of a role Russia has played in generating this divisiveness we're experiencing and he'll either have to side with the Russians or realise that hes been consistently manipulated to work against his and his countries interests in favour of Russias.

It gets to about 4 or 5 am and the 70 year old megalomaniac sociopathic sex pest with a bladder problem sits on the toilet, out of breath, for a long intermittent piss. He sits down, irritable, cock in one hand, twitter phone in his other, and predictably as usual spouts a load of unsubstantiated rantings.

Except Obama cant instigate investigations or wiretaps.

It was the FBI who were investogating the Russians and who asked for the FISA court orders. And if Obama could control the FBI dont you think they would have ended the investigation into Clinton sooner and not brought it back up right before the election. Or was Obama secretly trying to get Jill Stein elected

No one credible in the Republican or Democrat side believes this.

If Obamas implicated as being the person responsible for wiretapping Donald Trumps phone then I will issue a full and frank apology without reservation. But that wont happen.

The CNN reporting was proved to be false. I'm still yet to see anyone's evidence that what Trump said about Obama phone tapping him is false. "

News like this requires proof that the act did take place, how you would prove it didn't is totally impossible.

You sucked my cock a number of random times , how could you prove that you didn't ? you can only prove that you did if evidence exists, but it's near impossible to prove you didn't

What makes me again wonder if Trump has the right type of character for the office he now holds is how he has painted himself into yet another corner and that this will come and bit him on the arse..

he sort of looked and sounded half sensible in his address to Congress, ok the numbers will be scrutinised on what he has said etc but then this..

Mark Levin whom Centaur says has shown the evidence actually started it, Bannon picked it up Trump went with it before even bothering to check with the relevant heads of the various agencies who may be involved if it has any foundation..

He may have been still 'ballistic' over Sessions recusing himself and thought 'smoke screen' but all he has done is brought the attention away from how he was in his speech to Congress and back to Russia..

he keeps reacting to it when if there was nothing to hide he should just ignore it..

its the knee jerk without thinking that is becoming normal behaviour from this present leader of the free world which makes me question his personality especially given his job now..

someone may have said to him engage the grey thing between your ears before opening your mouth at some point in his life but he clearly ignored that ..

Luckily none of the voters in the UK have to worry about Trump and his performance .

He was voted in by the people of America and it looks like he will try and fulfill the promises which made by both investing in the USA infrastructure and putting America first.

Both the UK and USA stock exchanges have faith in his judgement and have marked up stocks with USA based businness.

He built up a very successfully business himself and seems determined to carry out the wishes of the people of America

He was voted in by the people of America and it looks like he will try and fulfill the promises which made by both investing in the USA infrastructure and putting America first.

Both the UK and USA stock exchanges have faith in his judgement and have marked up stocks with USA based businness.

He built up a very successfully business himself and seems determined to carry out the wishes of the people of America "

Pat, life is not only about how the stock market does and whilst growth is positive for obvious reasons there is more to people's lives than just that..

Mark Levin whom Centaur says has shown the evidence actually started it, Bannon picked it up Trump went with it before even bothering to check with the relevant heads of the various agencies who may be involved if it has any foundation..

True but a strong economy finances all the other things which people want such as the health service , social services , education , and defence . Most people want jobs and also a choice of job of job A strongly performing economy will provide this and in addition will make life better for those helping the disadvantaged . Pensioners who are not in final salary pension schemes also benefit .

Whilst health and families are probably the most important factors , I would suggest that a strongly performing stock market and economy are necessary in order to fund the various other things which we want to achieve .

I assume that his tax returns were all legal and above board . The more important issue probably is the number of people to whom he has given employment , either directly or indirectly .

Donald Trump business man: pays no taxes for over a decade, has a history of repeated bankruptcies (not much learning drom mistakes there), made his fortune by being handed millions of dollars from his father to invest in property at a time it was impossible to lose money on real estate, routinely rips off small businesses because they cant afford tens of thousands in legal fees required to sue him, has been sued successfully for repeatedly discriminating against african americans.

Hes also been blacklisted by every American bank hes dealt with and none of them will extend credit to him any longer because the risk is too high.

Has routinely lied about his wealth to impress people and refuses to release his tax returns amid speculation that the only banks to give him credit these days are Russian and that he cant pay them back leaving his business empire at the mercy of goodwill from the Russians.

Has ripped off thousands of his customers including the Trump University students.

Is that success? Is that the type of person that makes a good American president?

I do not know if the content of your post is true , what we do know is that the majority of the residents of America voted for him.

If he was as bad as you suggest over a sustained period why did these businnesses choose to do businness with him ? Or why did students enrol on his courses ?

I will make my judgement in 8 years time and ignore a few historical mistakes as did the electorate in America .

Actually Hilary Clinton got the majority of the votes cast by a couple million. Trump won through the electoral college. If just 38,000 votes had switched from Trump to Hillary she would have won the electoral college as well as the popular vote.

Businesses and students didnt do their research and a lot of his business background didnt become widely available to the public until people started looking at him in detail after he announced his run for president.

And yes anything I put in that post is true. The only unconfirmed part of it is whats in his tax returns and whether or not he owes Russian banks, but I made clear in the post that it was unconfirmed. The rest is fact.

The American economy tanked so hard in 2008 because the Bush administration allowed the credit default swap market to exist completely unregulated. This market grew to be so large that it was bigger than the entire worlds GDP.

When that market imploded it took down North Americas and Europes economy. It very much matters to our economic well being what happens there.

The refugee crisis has its roots in Bush's 2 wars in the Middle East and Putin and Obamas handling of Syria itself.

Russia is building up its military on Europes borders and has already invaded the Ukraine. Fractures in the NATO alliance could lead to war in Europe.

In less than 3 years the campaign will be in full swing. In about 15 months the midterm campaigns will be started. Judgement is going to come long before 8 years are up.

Preston

was Trump tapped, sure he was, along with everybody else.

did Obama ask for it? No

nothing to do with FBI, its NSA Mi5 and every other agency in this world that do this as job description

they even share the info gathered. example.... if its illegal to tap a person, they get friends across the pond to do it and vise versa and share the info well staying with in the law

just like its legal to use propaganda on the population, hence why everybody is so divided with half truths.

Fractures in the NATO alliance could lead to war in Europe."

That would be Bush and Blair's 2 wars in the middle East, old Tony doesn't get off that easily. I'm no fan of Obama's but his inaction in Syria mainly stems from Ed Milibands Labour party blocking consent for Cameron to have UK action in Syria in the historic vote that went on In the House of Commons. Obama was counting on the UK's support, when that disappeared after the vote in the House of Commons, Obama lost his nerve. You also can't forget the fuck up Cameron and Clegg's coalition government made with intervention in Libya which further destabilised the region and fuelled the migrant crisis in Europe even more.

Lastly Russia has built up its force on Europe's borders because Nato has built up its force on Russia's borders. The action Russia took in Ukraine was fuelled by antagonistic meddling in Ukraine from the EU. For every action there is a reaction, and actions have consequences, it's about time the West start to realise this.

Russia stepped into the monumental fuck up that is Syria relatively late in the game. USA and UK were meddling in Syria long before Russia decided to step into the fray. ISIS in Syria was spawned from Bush and Blair's wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. There is no conspiracy here just telling it like it is on an accurate time line of historical events.

As for the mess in Ukraine there have been loads of threads on here about it, it's not just suddenly come up for the first time on this thread. The EU encouraged the coup against the pro Russian Ukraine president that started the snowball rolling down the hill. Former Conservative MP Michael Portillo said this on the BBC This week programme last Thursday night so it's hardly an RT news exclusive as you are trying to frame it. Guy Verhofstadt MEP the Eurozealot mouthpiece of the EU commission even went to Ukraine to give a rabble rousing speech to the rebels who wanted to over throw the democratically elected legitimate Ukraine President. The video of Guy Verhofstadt in Ukraine is on YouTube.

I'm just sick and tired of the west meddling in other countries affairs and making matters 10x worse. I support Ukip's policy that we should not be sticking our noses into other countries affairs, we should let them sort their own mess out, all the West seems to do when it intervenes is make things worse. We should keep our armed forces for self defence not to go around the world imposing regime change on who ever the flavour of the month seems to be.

You have to forgive Centaur. He has a hard time keeping up with and balancing the rapidly changing geo-political stances of both his main sources of information, RT and Trump tweets Lets not forget the white supremacist sites like breitbart.

Don't you have some cars to be setting fire to?

WTF are you on about? Setting fire to cars?

Is this another one of your weird imaginings?

Bobbangs posted on another thread that he liked to set fire to cars in his youth. We have an arsonist on the forum taking the moral high ground.

So, by association and the fact we may have similar views, I'm an arsonist too?

Can you please either apologise or withdraw that comment.

No I apologise for nothing. The comment clearly said Bobbangs is an arsonist he admitted it himself. It has nothing to do with you.

So why ask me if I don't have some cars to set fire to.

I don't like resorting to insults, but frankly, you have a really twisted mentality."

I didn't ask you if you had any cars to set fire to. I asked Bobbangs if he had any cars to set fire to. Go back and read the thread history again, when I said that I had quoted Bobbangs comment. You've clearly got you wires crossed. Once again for clarity, Bobbangs is an arsonist, he admitted it on another thread. Its got fuck all to do with you. Is that clear enough now for you?

As i said before start a thread entitled what bob did 40 years ago.I got no shame. Why is something i did as a child and admitted openly relevant? Tell me please?"

The only one looking like a twat here is you Bobbangs. So not only are you an arsonist which you just admitted again you are also a car thief, which you just openly admitted. Put the shovel down before that hole you are digging for yourself buries you. You've got no moral high ground to stand on at all. You've thrown out insults on this thread then you play the victim when you get some insults thrown back at you. You are pathetic.

I really think Centaurs a Russian spy. He was asked to disprove it and couldnt. Hes repeated fabricated stories that have no basis in reality and now he's trying to deflect all the attention on to another poster even though its quite irrelevant.

Lie, deny and deflect. Right out of the KGB handbook.

Its of no relevance which is why he is citing it. You can take it as a certainty when someone resorts to Ad Hominem attacks their argument has no substance. By that same argument Mr Farage was known for singing Nazi songs in his youth.

I find it funny that everying on CNN and what is published in the New York Times is fake news but everything on Fox News is the total truth and the gospel.

Of course there is one other media outlet right behind trump in an almost evangelical

manor and that is Russia Today

From reading the forums I am unable to see any evidence if Centaur being proved wrong . Thanks to people like him the UK is now on the path to a prosperous future free from EU control . A booming stock exchange tends to prove we made the right decision to leave the EU.

However we might not even leave the EU. The EU might want to keep our businness by agreeing to our terms . Namely full border control , tariff free trade , and the abolishment of the need to adhere to EU law .

The German motor industry want our businness.

The consequences of the EU losing our contributions will be disastrous for the EU but great news for the UK as we will save a lot of money .

Pat, you are still very deluded.

As has been pointed out repeatedly the stock market is not 'booming' if you correct for our pound plummeting then you will see it is not 'booming'. If you think the fact our pound plummeted is a vote of confidence in our decision to leave the EU, then you are very badly mis-reading things.

Yes, the German motor industry want our business... hence why they have said it is a grave mistake us leaving the EU, and the single market. They have predicted lower sales due to Brexit and all of the auto manufacturers are now trying to work out what this means for them when we leave the single market.

So we might not leave now? But don't the brexit die-hards say that it is the 'will of the people' to leave? And some have some clairvoyance that they know why everyone voted to leave and that we want out the single market too.

And how does us being out the EU save us money? This whole debacle has already cost us many many years of our EU membership fee. Not to mention the wasted time and effort in political resources that could have been put to use fixing the *actual* problems, most of which were due to shitty decisions of our own successive governments.

Do you honestly think that long term, replacing all the shared services of the EU we used with our own versions will be a net cost saving?

I am at a total loss to understand why you say that the stock market is not booming . If we assume that share valuations are based on the future prospects of a company and not on currency fluctuations the boom is substantial . Any currency movements will have been taken into account ( or discounted out ) when valuing the future prospects of a company .

I prefer to look on the bright side , not be a merchant of doom and gloom.

We will also save by bringing the bureaucrats back to the UK. At least we will collect the taxes on their salaries as opposed to paying it to the EU.

I do not see the two specialist publications to which I subscribe constantly emphasising that the stock market is not booming .

They take a much more positive approach by analysing both the past performance and future prospects of a company together with an analysis of the net assets and PE ratios .

Over the long term we can simply ignore currency movements .

Dear oh dear oh dear.

Ok. Im gonna attempt to explain why the devaluation of the pound matters.

Pretend youre an American investor with $100 to invest. For the sake of simplicity we'll say 6 months ago the pound and dollar were equal value.

You invest your hundred dollars in a FTSE company so they change your dollars to sterling and you get £100 of stock. (Again, for simplicity sake we'll say theres no fees).

6 months later you decide to invest another $100. But now the value of the pound is 50% of what it was. So with your $100 you have this time bought £200 of shares. Twice as many shares bought might push the value of the shares up.

2 months later you invest another $100. But although the price of the shares has increased by 20%, your $100 still gets you £160 worth of shares.

So the price of the shares has gone up. But the reality is the value of the company has decreased 60% in real terms.

Understand?

No matter what you say, I can almost 100% guarantee that the poster to whom you are replying will not even read what you have written. Word for word he was writing the same lines all through Q3 & Q4 last year until he got banned.

Those exact same words will appear again, and again, and again, and again in the future and he will even admit to not wanting to read or see anything that might change his opinion.

OK, let me clarify a bit.... the FTSE 100 is 'booming' on the basis that is is currently basically reflecting the $/£ at the moment. This boom however is not an indication that the value of the economies behind it are booming. ie. just because the numbers on the stock ticker are going up does not mean that the UK economy is doing better. Just because the FTSE 100 has risen 7% in the past 12 months does not mean the economy is 7% better. The pound has fallen about 15% in that same time.

And I am not a merchant of doom and gloom, I'm just capable of reporting the facts without rose tinted glasses.

"I think Centaurs finally gone off his trolley. He keeps posting baseless stuff and getting proved wrong here. Having his beliefs disproved regularly might be having an impact on his mental health and thats why he's lashing out here today. Poor guy, I think he does need a hug.

-Matt I am at a total loss to understand why you say that the stock market is not booming . If we assume that share valuations are based on the future prospects of a company and not on currency fluctuations the boom is substantial . Any currency movements will have been taken into account ( or discounted out ) when valuing the future prospects of a company .

The UK economy is growing and performing well though, official government figures prove it. According to all the merchants of doom in the Remain camp we should have been in a recession now after the Brexit vote. The Remain pessimists have been proved wrong and the UK economy is projected to be the best performing economy in the G7 this year. The fall in the value of the pound has seen British exports increase and has boosted the UK tourism industry. Consumer confidence remains high, the Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond said on the BBC Andrew Marr show last Sunday that the UK economy is robust. The UK has a bright and prosperous future outside of the EU.
