Problem is , they get to a point where they confuse their opinion with facts and thus lose the ability to be objective ! some even twist the facts to a point that is downright stupid ! a typical example is trying to bait you on what they see as his "single biggest policy" The muslim travel ban ! A policy I agree with by the way, problem is its NOT his biggest or primary policy ! 
As I have mentioned on other threads, while I don't like him as a person, His election seems to be a real shake up of reality from the usual political slumber!
Its making people THINK ! Question , and discuss reality , and that was a much needed thing in a age of political correctness .
Now when one is intelligent and intellectually honest, it is possible to dislike someone , but understand or support his ideas or policies/ideas , or see the bigger picture.
The more simplistic minds out there just divide the political spectrum into two extremes , either left or right ! As soon as any on the centre right (like me) try to put things in perspective and bring some common sense into the debate , they resort to the simplistic leftist tactic of trying to scare you off by labelling you something nasty like "alt right" or nazi, or racist !
People forget that his way of of doing politics is more the business approach , then the old typical politics. Like it or not ever since he announced he was a candidate he has prevailed against all odds !
