This is getting a bit weird. I read a hint of this before but it seems to be a "thing" in the US that white people are not being charged with terrorism as they aren't influenced by non-US citizens. Their hate is home-grown 
'A man who allegedly plotted to carry out an attack “in the style of Dylann Roof” has been arrested - but not charged under any terrorism laws.'
The charge could be changed of course.
"Benjamin Thomas Samuel McDowell, 29, was detained by the FBI in South Carolina on Wednesday for illegally buying a gun with the intention of carrying out a mass shooting “against non-whites”. He was charged with possession of a fire arm."

Really? How are these two cases and how the law is being applied equivalent to the examples you've given?
What's the nuance that allows the state to treat white supremacists wanting to kill Muslim or coloured people in the US different to Islamists wanting to kill other people?
In Northern Ireland both IRA and Loyalist terrorists were investigated and imprisoned. |

so where orlando and san bernidino are still considered to be acts of terror... the attack on the charleston 9 by dylan roof, and the attack on the sikh temple by white supremisists too think to know the difference between sikhs and muslims now are not....
which is why for example you saw trump tweeting and being all over the attack in quebec when a person of interest they were after was moroccan... but when it turned out he was just a witness and the person who did it was a far right white activist... all you got was radio silence |

Our local Sikh shop owner ( not a paki shop ! ) as everyone called it ! Used to shut x mad day he called it his big holiday lol , but used to tell my dad to ring the bell if he was stuck for out |
