They'll be bankrupt in 4 years anyway with all the infrastructure projects he's planning...to say nothing about his great Mexican wall. I don't know why he doesn't just opt for a nice hedge  |

In fairness useful infrastructure projects are great for the economy. Every dollar spent on infrastructure generates 6 for the economy. Thats why Obama was trying to push for them as well. The walls an exception because it has no benefit once its built for businesses. |

In fairness useful infrastructure projects are great for the economy. Every dollar spent on infrastructure generates 6 for the economy. Thats why Obama was trying to push for them as well. The walls an exception because it has no benefit once its built for businesses."
Well there is infrastructure and there is infrastructure. There is good infrastructure like bridges and highways and faster broadband etc. And then there is a wall to keep the Mexicans out.  |

A nice privet hedge is what he wants...neatly trimmed it would make a very attractive Southern border for the Mexicans to enjoy. It would take some clipping though
Or a fence...B&Q will have their Easter sale before long...larch-lap fence panels and some pots of Cuprinol...just think of the savings he could make with his discount card. And give the neighbours something nice to look at |

MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (AP) — The Mexican government today said it will begin selling ladders in preparation for Donald Trump’s wall that is planned to be built along the U.S. and Mexico border.
Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto spoke to reporters about the wall and the ladders.
“Mexico will not pay for that wall, we will pay for ladders though,” Nieto said. “Trump can do whatever he wants, he can spend as much money as he wants, but the fact is, so many of our people have friends and family in the United States. And unfortunately for these people they cannot afford a visa or citizenship or cannot wait the long delays in getting one, so ladders are the answer.”
Trump was quick to tweet about President Nieto’s plan.
“My wall will be so tall, if Nieto thinks a ladder is gonna work, he’s sadly mistaken!”
Nieto immediately responded to Trump’s tweet by explaining in detail about the ladders that Mexico is building.
“We are currently working with four different companies in Mexico who manufacture ladders. Trump says his wall will be 35-45 feet tall. These ladder companies assure us they can make ladders that will extend as far as 70 feet. And if he wants to electrify that fence, then we’ll make the ladders out of wood. So, there’s no problem here.”
Paul Horner, a spokesman for the Trump administration, said the wall will work and the American people should not worry.
“We’ll keep those non-whites out of this country, I promise you that,” Horner said. “They think they can just come over here with their tacos, and sombreros, and just work and do whatever they want. Well not on our watch!”
The Trump Administration has set up a 24-hour hotline to address any questions and concerns the public may have regarding the wall and the ladders that Mexico is making. The number for that hotline is (785) 273-0325.

I am sorry to burst your bubble and offend your "religious" beliefs (AntiTrumpism) , or Radical Trump-bashing but as I prefer facts to opinions or blind uninformed ideas here goes !
ITS Not unconstitutional ! Its legal , and no it wasn't made up by Trump !
One of the benefits of the internet is easy access to information ! Fact checking is easy and quick, but that is of course for people who think , are honest, and care about the truth !
Trumps decree originates the 1952 amendment of the Immigration Act of 1924 ! In its section 212 it states;"Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate."
And by the way , while I don't like Trump as a person, I understand why and what he is doing !
As for Walls I am not bothered with them!
History tells us that when they no longer serve their purpose... they come down !
Now the mental walls shown by some on here .... those yes are worry some !
But I understand that Britons don't get walls ! After all the last one built was Adrian's wall to keep those pesky barbarians at bay  and the north sea and English channel do a fair job too !
Now for the rest of those continental Europeans they have walls, fences, and rivers as borders ....oh and the Mediterranean too..... So what are you going to call them then ? WORSE !
A recent Europe wide poll revealed that a whopping 70% favour restrictions or a ban on Muslims coming to Europe !!
The mentioned survey was done BEFORE the Trump Decree ! |

Simple ! Just because something is legal, doesn't mean its automatically followed or obeyed , does it ? If that was the case , lawyers and judges would be out of work ....lol.... its called Litigation ! But it is not necessarily a good thing when courts interfere with policy ! But I believe he will prevail |

When Obama came to power he inherited close to 8 Trillion Dollars from Bush , but that include the cost of two wars ! (when Bush came to power, US debt was 4 Trillion) So Bush spent about 2 Trillion Per 4 year mandate!
US debt today stands at 19 Trillion 
Almost 5 Trillion per Obama 4 year mandate  and no wars involved in that .....
Where did it all go ?
If Trump spends on infrastructure , at least there will be something to show for it... Unlike the his predecessor "drone war master" Nobel prize winner OBAMA or is it OH Bummer |

mmmm... Maybe , but not when there is a double standard ! Everybody seems to forget that the original list of 7 countries and was set up by Obama ! as was the vetting it involved , the difference being it wasn't made public and implementation was not properly enforced

From what I have seen on interviews the reason for the 7 countries selected is that they do not share intelligence with the US - that is why Saudi is not on the list - at least according to Republican sources. Whether this is really the true reason or not I have no idea, but it does make logical sense although others have stated that current vetting is adequate. |

Bad how? Terrorism levels in Europe have been on a downward trend since the 1980s at least. Same as in the US, the level of violent crime is now lower than it has even been in the past few decades.

Its not only about being legal, its also about being applicable , its about much more then that ! Two courts mean nothing , as if Trump signs as an EO the courts cant repeal it ! Only the supreme court could..... But if that was to happen it would be the same as a coup , and the break down of the democratic system in the US ! Fact is Trump was elected and is merely doing what he promised he would do ! The courts were not elected ! Isn't it strange that people find it odd for an elected official to do what he promised ! ooops Sorry .... I forgot Trump is not a real politician ... if he was we wouldn't be having this discussion ... |

Britain wouldn't have an immigration crisis

If it goes to SCOTUS and they find that its unconstitutional, that wouldn't be a coup, they would just be completing their constitutional role as a check on the power of the legislature and the executive. |

I think you'll find that it's a little more complex than you make out. The law may give the President power to exclude aliens from entry put, if the way he uses that power is contrary to the basic construction then it can be, and currently has been, ruled unconstitutional. When making such a ruling both the text of the EO and the intent are taken into consideration by the court. As the current incumbent made clear his intend to 'halt all Muslims entering the US until we know what the hell is going on' any action he takes to further that end could possibly be ruled unconstitutional. |

it is a deterrent, many have already given up hope of moving to USA because of this and many already in USA are crossing border to Canada
