Am curious to know this. Anyone that is Living in England right now if you had a choice which countries NHS in the UK would you rather have right now for treatment ?
I feel for everyone in England right now with the NHS in meltdown and the Red cross having to come in. its shocking seeing anyone having to wait on a trolly in a hallway.
Now our NHS in Scotland is not perfect i doubt you will ever get it to be 100% but at 92% is really good yes needs to improve just like all things could need improving.
But its sad to see the unionist parties here in Scotland put our NHS down instead of working with the Scottish government to make it even better all this and money is not deloved to the Scottish government too

Always found if I phone up at 8am for a doctors appoint then I can have one same day, usually a 10am appointment or afternoon one, it have never been any different over past 10 years
Accident & Emergency is a different story, I have experienced shocking disgraceful treatment from inexperienced staff - doctors
Luckily I also have private medical insurance, otherwise I would still to this day have broken bones the NHS failed to spot |

Good to hear and hopefully you are well recovered and enjoying life and enjoying on here lol
See that its good to see people not try and put the Scottish NHS down its far from perfect but with over 90% on meeting targets and the work the doctors and nurses do i have alot of respect for them As i do with the English NHS doctors and nurses i just wish the English and Welsh NHS was as good as the Scottish one.

Would it suprise you if I said Scotland has seen far less "customers" over the last 15 years, while having its revenue increased year on year subsidised by England and whales who've seen a massive increase in customers with much less investment!.... It's not that complicated really

subsidised by England ? Now you have to then wonder why Westminster are hell bent on keeping Scotland in the UK then if we are such a leech on the purse strings.

Also 90% of patients seem very happy with their treatment in Scotland i know i was when i had to go to A&E on a Saturday night and was seen within 5mins i praise our doctors and nurses i will never ever put them down nor our NHS
I really hope England and Wales get better but fear with the Tories and Labour in charge that aint gonna happen |

The NHS is far far far more than A&E. Not sure how you can use that as a comparison when Scotland is failing in so many areas (we have double the cancellation of operations as England for example). Ultimately there are things we will do better up here and things the English NHS is doing better so trying to compare the two over one area is very misleading. It may actually shock you to know that the euro health consumer index which assesses health care systems accross Europe ranks England two places above Scotland. It looks at more than A&E but ultimately even it is too narrow to give a real analysis.
Our NHS is going backwards in many areas but that's not the fault of the doctors and nurses. |

" .
Your spending more than you earn, lots of places do it's not unusual, but usually it's at the expense of future tax payers, yours is slightly different because your getting your "extra" revenue stream from being in a union with England and Wales.
Why Westminster do it is many fold from ready made arrangements to nuclear bases to the plain old not wanting to give anything up mantle |

where does the fault lay then?
From what I have personally witnessed there are many doctors and nurses in positions that they are not competent to do, this may be down to the lack of training and lack or time in job but the results do put patients at risk
I will never put my trust in a doctor today without also doing my own research on the treatment I am about to receive
doctors & nurses are only human like all of us, and huge mistakes take place daily as do cover-ups
If you have a family member or kid requiring medical care, ensure you look very carefully at what treatment is being provided.
long gone are the days of looking at a doctor as a god |

Let me guess it is the 21 operations in Scotland get cancelled what the media are trying to spin yet when you have a look at it its 0.05% for the whole of Scotland not bad eh ?
Labour and media seem to be trying their best to create some spin stories and people do fall for it without challenging them i mean has anyone asked why they have been cancelled and who by ? No no thats not the Labour way in Scotland its how can they create a SNP bad story
For example did you read when Labour said the SNP and wasting money on the expenses and then they were caught out lying when the IPSA said sorry to the SNP and the true fact SNP had spent 1 million less than Labour when they had MP's and the SNP mp's were working alot harder and in lessons in the house of commons alot more
You just have to look at Jim Murphy up in Aberdeen heeding a baw while the vote on fracking was going on |

Good to hear the nhs is not screwed in Scotland. Make it more tempting to move there. I had better service abroad. For 80 euros a month. Get seen quickly and leave with an opinion and drugs. |

Not sure why you keep bringing up Labour, I'm not labour voter.
Also, your guess was completely wrong. Here's a very good in depth analysis by Fraser Whyte dispelling some of the spin that people have been trying to put out lately. It gives the figures, sources and explanations for it all.

I think you'll find it's not an opinion piece, it's a statistical analysis.
How about I give you some figures here to shatter your illusions.
Psychological therapies treatement: Target is 90% performance is 79.6% and dropping from a peak of 84%
18 weeks referral to treatment:
Target is 90% performance is 84.7% and it's been dropping for the past 2 years when it was just over 90%
Cancer 62 day waiting time:
Target is 95% performance is 87.1% and it's been dropping for the past 2 years when it was 94%
12 week outpatient referrals:
Target is 95% performance is a shocking 78.7%. Incredibly this has dropped from 93% 2 years ago.
GP Access within 48 hours:
Target is 90% performance is 91.8% but it has dropped slightly in each of the last 2 years
Mental Health treatment for young people:
Target is 90% performance is 78.8%
