Over the last two decades Muslim suicide bombers have managed to normalise slaughter/mass casualty atrocities.
And as for the millions of Christians leaving the Middle East in fear of their lives grovelling PC Western politicians are too lilly-livered to criticise muslims for their ongoing campaigns of ethnic/religious cleansing in the region. |

There is a saying that 'all news is local' the closer to home, the more important, the further away, the less so.
You have a terrorist attack in France, everyone's Facebook profile pic is the tricolour, have the same in Egypt or Turkey or Pakistan on Nigeria, no body bats an eyelid.
When it comes to news print, some lifes are worth more than others. Very sad, very cynical, very true. |

And over the past two decades various news outlets have been normalising the demonisation of an entire religion due to the horrific actions of a few.
This has gotten to a point, where, for example in the US, despite more people being killed by toddlers with handguns than islamic terrorists, ideas are being proposed to create a database of all muslims in the country as opposed to putting metal detectors across stair gates (yes I'm being flippant with that last bit).
I mean look at the mass genocide at the hands of Christians in Rwanda. Oh, sorry, they are not Christians, they are Hutus.
See how stupid your point sounds put in those terms?

You mean the point about a 'mere' 30,000 deadly terror attacks by muslims since 9/11!? Makes your 'demonization' comment almost comical...best not to report them eh Matt!

I assume that's the number of victims, rather than the number of terrorists. There are more than 1 billion Muslims in the world, not all of them are terrorists.
There are bad people in each and every religion.
There is Buddhist on Muslim and Buddhist on Christian violence in Burma, do you want to make sweeping statements about Buddhists?
How about decades of Catholic on Catholic violence in Columbia, should we blame all Catholics for that?
In Sri Lanka there has been Buddhist and Hindu violence for decades, again, why don't you talk about those religions?
How about Northern Ireland, Protestants and Catholics, are there generalisations from those religions that apply to all its members?

How many of the millions of State led murders in Russia pre WW2 and post WW2 were Muslims accountable for?, or the thousands missing in Mexico murdered by drug gangs?, or in Bolivia?, or in Columbia?.....how many Muslims were accountable?
How many Muslims were responsible for hundreds of murders in Ireland during the troubles?
Or.......how many thousands of Muslims were murdered by Right Wing Christians in the Balkans?
The answer is there are murderers of ALL religions.
