Well, we have gender roles and men and women are treated differently by society. I'm not sure why that's not worthy of study? |

In a scientific way sure it is interesting like other aspects of social science
As a political subject, I feel it's just stirring discontent. It's a trend by an overwhelming majority of girls who get brainwashed by seasoned (aka jaded) feminists |

In my experience, its the opposite. A lot of girls seem to shun feminism these days.
I'm doing my best to bring my daughter up as a feminist in spite of this. |

I believe that there is inequality, yes. There are still not-so-subtle pressures placed on girls from a young age to be a certain way - for example, the very heavy marketing of princessy stuff (and all that goes with it) to girls.
I've noticed, amongst younger women (and men, actually) a swing away from the more liberal attitudes towards sexuality and relationships that seemed to be the norm when I was teenaged/in my 20s. See: "slut shaming" for example. Boys seem to be encouraged to pressure girls, sexually.
Women are still pressured to look a certain way too, you only have to look at instagram to see this.
My daughter has quite a logical/mathematical brain and I try to make sure that we do "boy" things like fix cars etc to try and nurture this. |

I didn't assign them, society has/does. I'm trying to redress the balance. Speak to a group of 8 year old children and you'll notice by and large they still seem to follow persuits that conform to outdated ideas about gender. I'm not saying that you don't get exceptions, mind. |

Maybe it is, but you will find that many things encourage children at a sublimial level to behave a certain way. Have you got children? Having a daughter was quite the eye-opener for me.
Even when she was tiny, I can remember being on a minibus on the way to Twickenham with some (male) work colleagues, all three of whom had boys in the 10-14 age range. One of whom was telling us that he was asking his 12 year old son (who had a little "girlfriend") if he had got his hands in her knickers yet and if not, he needed to try harder....  |

That's just one example of one bad parent....
You are right, there are little nudges in all directions by media and pop culture. It not an inequality thing... Between men and women anyway |

Yeah, I'd put it down to that, but the other lads seemed to see it as being OK/the norm.
I made a mental note to keep an eye on young fellers in the future... |
