Because comrade Corbyn is a communist who would rather sing "lets keep the red flag flying here" instead of our national anthem. |

"Maybe the reason so many people are in awe of Castro is because of what he managed to do.
Remember that he was not all bad despite US propaganda." .
Err yes and no....I mean the 100,000 people he killed weren't thinking this guys just all propaganda!.
I mean he had good points about the system wrecking his country and killing his countrymen.... But then so did Adolf Hitler |

No. Pinochet was bought by the CIA to oppress the Chilean people. Fidel fought against the US and was not bought by them and fought for the Cuban people.
The difference between the two is, the rich Chileans loved pinochet, the rich Cubans hated Fidel. |

Maybe from an outsiders view. But being Chilean. We saw Fidel as a hero. He managed to beat a dictator which the Chilean people failed to do, which was Pinochet.
Plus since then both Chile and Cuba had a great relationship in teaching our doctors. |

Central and south America seems to have always been a hotbed of socialism..... And we all know socialism can't take root anywhere near the USA!.
There's really no right and wrong answers with Castro, he was a man of the people and a man against the people as with any ideology or concept no everybody is going to go along with it, the more radical the ideology is the more some will rebel.
You see this today in Islam, western politics and even environmentalism,a small percentage push the agenda.... Most Chileans were peaceful most Argentines were, most Chinese were, most Russians are most Muslims are.... And most Americans are.... It never stops the small percentage that push the agenda though.... One thing they all have in common is they all genuinely belive they have the best intentions |

Gerry Adams and Martin McGuiness, who Jeremy Corbyn and John McDonell greatly admire. Jeremy Corbyn also calls terrorist group Hezbollah "friends" and the death of Osama bin Laden was a tragedy according to Corbyn. |

No worries. We have a different perspective of the issue. Chile was a democratic country and socialism was working. President Allende was a Marxist. Education and economy was great. We were nationalising our resources like copper. But they were undercutting American private companies. So the coup was planned.
Anyway, yes most leaders have blood on their hands. Do you watch the walking dead or game of thrones and hate the because they kill? It's the situation they're in.
But continue, I take no offence. Happy you hate Pinochet like I do. |

You know some Chileans thought why didn't the Americans try to kill Pinochet. Or maybe Batista, Videla or Banzer. They would have welcomed Bush and Blair to do what they did to Osama Bin Laden or Saddam Hussein in Chile. However after years of war and innocent dying. It was a tragedy. They changed their mond
That interview was taken out of context like what Farage or May or any politicians.
But anyway the US didn't intervene with those dictators because they were already intervening in the Americas like they are in the middle east now. |

Like a lot of revolutionaries he was an agent of necessary change. He achieved this change with broadly benevolent motivations.
However, he then lost the plot. Staying in power required an enemy and "temporary" suspension of the freedoms that he fought to bring.
Every revolution has the potential to end up this way and sadly the majority do because most people want to get back to their lives and don't pay attention until it's too late... |
