"The Trumpster has agreed in public to give $7,000,000 in tax breaks (over ten years) to Carrier A/C's if they agree not to to move production to Mexico. Meanwhile in the U.K., Nissan were allegedly offered nothing at all to commit to the UK post Brexit and they agreed. To be fair, whether May did or did not offer anything I think it was probably right to stay quiet because for sure now many, many US Companies will start to announce their intention to move production out of the country in anticipation of a bespoke tax arrangement. " Trump is a Brexiter, and Brexit helped him win the Presidential election campaign. Trump has said he hopes he can have the same relationship with Theresa May that Ronald Reagan had with Margaret Thatcher. Trump is an Anglophile, he loves Britain (has a Scottish mother) and will want a good trade relationship with us. Nigel Farage may not be an official UK government representative but Farage will put Britain's interests first and use his influence with Trump to give Britain a good trade deal. All speculation at this point anyway, we'll have to wait and see what happens. | |||
