Donald Trump and/or his companies have been involved in 4000 private lawsuits over the last 30 years and he will go into office in January with 75 still pending and active lawsuits hanging over his head all of which have the opportunity to cause acute embarrassment to the President elect.
Trump has infamously used the fucked up American legal system to file private lawsuits over the years as a means of not paying contractors who worked on building projects but more recently he has been named as the Defendant in suits ranging from fraud (Trump University) and misappropriation of charitable donations in Florida.
The complainants in the current raft of lawsuits are now expecting enhanced mediation efforts and of course significantly increased settlements as Trump wants to avoid the embarrassment of highly publicised lawsuits early on in his Presidential term. |

If he has a valid defence to them , they become irrelevant .
His company is still trading so I would not be too concerned . |

" If there was any substance to these law suits companies would refuse to work for him.
Luckily you have quoted a thirty year period any anyone undertaking work for him could have checked his credit status before undertaking work.
How many of these law suits were settled in favour of the plaintiff and why ?. |

Employers often end up on the wrong end of some claim or another. I would suspect that the only way to settle an unfair dismissal claim in the US is through the courts.
I was once dismissed unfairly, many years ago. But I took the company to tribunal and they paid me out of court. I also remember ACAS negotiating the settlement.
I'm sure that kind of thing happens a lot and all over at least the western world. |

Maybe Hillary and Bill spent some of it on paying those protesters to go to Trump rallies to cause trouble? |

"Time to lay off him and see how he performs !
It's called Democracy ! "
You have kind f hit the nail on the head there. He has started well by seemingly reversing on a number of his more controversial statements and sounding more like the statesman expected of the office of the President.
Unfortunately the lawsuits are not going to go away and more of course will be arriving over the next 12 months or so. These lawsuits can take up to two years to get resolved and it is just not what President Trump needs to be attending Court as a Defendant in fraud case about a subject that he has refuted in public on the campaign trail.
I think that he does now need to be given time to get on with it but I suspect that his Presidential term will start and end with the type of controversy that the office of President simply does not need. Too many lawsuits and too many complainants which feel that they have now gained an advantage because he has been elected President.

And this morning we learn that instead of going to civil trial on November 28th facing fraud complaints, the Trumpster has now settled three of the cases relating to the now defunct and discredited Trump University. The $25 million dollar settlement is significantly more than the complainants had previously asked for in settlement albeit the settlement comes without any admission of any wrong doing.
Ah well, just another 72 or so to go. |

Trump has form for corporate malfeasance.
He started life as a millionaire and turned himself into a billionaire by bankrupting corporations he gained control of and got to be US President for it. Philip Green, sorry Sir Philip Green did the same here and got a knighthood for it.
Somehow I expect he will skate just like Sir Phil... |

I wonder if now the election is over if he will now, as he was saying in the campaign, he will now sue the 12 women that he said were lying about the various amounts of alledged sexual assault... even though they were just confirming what he said on the access hollywood tape was more or less true....
doubt it....hmmmmmm |
