Who exactly are the Liberal Elite?

Jump to: Newest in thread

The epitome of what I would describe as the political elite has, according to one newspaper attacked the Liberal Elite in a damning speech...

What exactly does Liberal Elite mean? Who are the Liberal Elite and what/who do they represent?

Liberal Elite to me sounds like a snobby swinger

It is just something you consider yourself to be I would think. A sense of (unwarranted and delusional) intellectual superiority

Apparently the liberal elite are those claimibg to support the rights of the working class, while themselves coming from the ruling class.

You know the type the ones that dont have a clue how much a pint of milk or a loaf costs

But are looking out for our best interests

I've never really understood the pint of milk question. When I need milk, I buy it, have any of you actually looked at the price of milk and thought "fuck that, that's far too much, I'm gonna start putting mayonnaise on my cornflakes instead" ?

They usually get asked something like that to see if they know what us ordinary people pay. Cameron was asked the same about bread and if dodged it by saying he bought flour from the cotswolds and made his own. Lol ..

I know, wouldn't it be good if the politician asked the journalist though? I doubt they would be any better at answering it.

I see. So it is the majority of the Labour Members of Parliament, the ones you are condemning Mr Corbyn for not moving over for?

Nice, logical reasoning going on. Did someone really think the OP only THOUGHT they has greater intellect?

So Jeremy Corbyn is a Liberal Elite, but Theresa May isn't? If she isn't part of the Liberal Elite having announced (lied) that she represents the centre ground what exactly is she? She is part of the Elite in society and she had an elitist upbringing.

I thought Corbyn was hard Left elite, not Liberal elite? Can you please make pick one instead of flip flopping like a Tory PM whenever you're trying to fit your point of view into an argument?

In the main generations of public school/Oxbridge educated people who can be found in politics, big business, the Arts, and perhaps surprisingly in the judiciary, the legal profession, Police and in other positions of power, influence and authority.

They also love globalisation and multiculturalism not least because it keeps wages down and the lower orders squabbling amongst themselves thus enabling many of them to pass on the fruits of their success to their children, thereby keeping the class system safely intact.

That is not "liberal" though by any kind of definition.

"

whats a hard left elite?"

I've no idea. On the one hand Corbyn is accused of being hard left, not moderate and on the other he is accused of being one of the elite.

So he must be part of the hard left elite by your logic.

...They and their EU equivalent e.g. the French BCBG also infest some of the highest unelected positions of power within the EU where with their high salaries and expense accounts they demonstrate their well-bred, vampire-like expertise in feeding off taxpayers ... all the while demonstrating exemplary incompetence and/or connivance (with human traffickers) in the matter of illegal migration for example.

thats maybe why you asked the original question because the people who are described as the liberal elite usually aren't liberal at all

A bunch of finger wagging toss pots who believe they have the right to tell the rest of society what they can and can't say, or even think.

If you ain't "PC" then you shouldn't have the right to live, let alone hold an opinion.

Take the control away from these "people" and the rest of the world will show them who the real people of the world are.

Just like we did with the BREXIT vote
