It's scary to think Gove could have been prime minister.
Someone who has truly mastered the art of double speak and slipping out of questions in a way Bill Clinton would be proud of.
Anyway Nick Clegg isn't dead and has revealed Gove was the source behind the Sun headline that the "queen backs brexit". Watching Gove say "politicians have to be accountable to the people" whilst then lying his face off in the same sentence is quite scary really. |

There's a clip of him doing it on the beeb. It's his complete lack of shame as he's doing it that I find unnerving |

Yep. I think that's the scariest thing. People who can unashamedly lie about something in the space of a few minuets, whilst in the public eye, whilst preaching the opposite point cause they know they will do well from it. It is unnerving how people like this can hold sway over our policy making and be allowed to influence our decision making. |

Between him, Johnson and Farage they undertook a deception of the nation on a scale that Josef himself would have been proud of. |

We do seem to have a breed of politicians, like Gove, that would literally say anything to advance their careers.
If you watch the clip it reminds me of that Michael Howard interview!! |

"Part of me wonders if we need some regulation of what politicians say? "
Whenever hardcore Brexiters or people like Farage said "the people in Brussels are unaccountable for their actions, take back control, sovereignty, decision making to parliament!!!" I always thought that, okay, yeah, if we want a truly accountable parliament and political system we need to get tough on politicians.
eg, found to me grossly misinterpreting data or lying to the public, then they should not be allowed to hold a position of political power.
eg, refuse to publish tax returns, which I think all politicians should have to do, or be found of tax avoidance when doing so, they should not be allowed to hold a position of political power.
I'm sure many people would not like that idea, eg, it would be too inefficient perhaps - or many they know a favourite would be banned, but at this point I think between media and political spin we need it, just to out those who have personal agendas and backers from those who simply believe their policies are best for Britain as a whole. |

No, his job is to represent the interests/needs of his constituents in Westminster. Not to bullshit his way through politics with lies to push a personal agenda. If lying and being a scum back is what you think is acceptable then I feel bad for your employer or customers. |

They can say anything they want its what you believe is the truth that counts, we pay them to be lying scumbags. "
Quite frankly you are taking the wrong approach, the public, the average person who is probably up at 6am and finally resting after work at 6pm , should not have to work out what wild interpretation of some figures to trust. We should have enough faith in our political leaders that they either know, or are consulting unbiased experts on what to do to manage issues. |

It's hard to even know what they are saying when we get the Bill Clintons of the world who want to debate what the meaning of the word 'is' is!!! |

I would just like to see them forced to answer a simple question in the way that you or I would have to in a court of law. They seem to think they have a divine right to answer only the easy questions or to waffle on until the journalist gives up on the question. |

Maybe we should write exam papers for them with simple questions and tick boxes?
If they give them a waffly answer full of crap we can sen it back.
Would have been great for the EU referendum, just give them a maths test were they have to show their working. |

Who, the experts?
Depends on who they have worked for in the past or what they have lobbied for.
On the whole, I'm more likely to trust an expert that someone who clearly has a political agenda they will lie to push forward.
You can't deny, on issues such as science, the NHS and education it is best to speak to people who work in that field and experts from them.

Thank you for proving me right, MrCunt should have listened to those who work in the MHS, the experts who work within an in association of it, an the professors who help advise and train staff, he did not.
He simply pushed for his and his section of the Tory party's personal agenda.
And this is what I am saying, we need a political party which is willing to consult with and take the advise given, from those in the best, least bias positions. |

Yep, plenty of lies were told by the Remain campaign too, in particular by George Osborne and David Cameron. "
Ah yes, the Tories on one side of the debate trying to match the lies told by the Tories on the other side of the debate.
They have become so used to it over the years I'm not sure they realise they are doing it these days.
The only thing they are better at is putting out the impression the other side is JUST AS deceitful and tells just as many lies as them. They tell some, but they are nothing like the scale of those fucking liars with the blue rosettes. |

And that's the art of politics in this country...!!! Grown men and women behaving like spoilt children, trying to win popular opinion instead of getting on and actually running and forwarding the interests of this country. If they put just a fraction of the effort they expend with their futile 'who's got the biggest cock' arguments into actually doing something positive for this country, then we really would be GREAT Britain. And don't forget, we're actually PAYING them to behave in this manner...it's quite frankly ridiculous. Guy Fawkes definitely had the right idea...!!! |

There's a clip of him doing it on the beeb. It's his complete lack of shame as he's doing it that I find unnerving

Do you understand that "Great Britain" is actually a geographical term rather than meaning "great" in the sense of good? |

"Part of me wonders if we need some regulation of what politicians say?
They can say anything they want its what you believe is the truth that counts, we pay them to be lying scumbags.
So you are saying you believe everything they say is true?
Who, the experts?
Depends on who they have worked for in the past or what they have lobbied for.
On the whole, I'm more likely to trust an expert that someone who clearly has a political agenda they will lie to push forward.
You can't deny, on issues such as science, the NHS and education it is best to speak to people who work in that field and experts from them.
So why did Mr Hunt not listen to the doctors then?
Thank you for proving me right, MrCunt should have listened to those who work in the MHS, the experts who work within an in association of it, an the professors who help advise and train staff, he did not.
He simply pushed for his and his section of the Tory party's personal agenda.
And this is what I am saying, we need a political party which is willing to consult with and take the advise given, from those in the best, least bias positions. As politicans are elected by the electorate , they have the mandate to decide how to run the health service .
If they were to listen to the Doctors or Health service professionals , expenditure would go completetly out of control.
"
Maybe it would but at least the service would be doing what it was meant to do save lives and treat the sick not tell people the drug you need is to expensive. I,m sure if it were a member of your family you would want them to get the drugs they needed. |

"what did you expect? after all, he's just one of your average right wingers .... basically complete cunts
Yeah but at least he's not genocidal like your average left wing cunts "
I'm not genocidal.
But I'm not a political opportunist masquerading as a patriot who broke the country either |

The country isn't broken, the only thing that looks broken at the moment is the Labour party. |

There's a video for that. It's the biggest island of the British Isles.
Geography and history lesson warning.
