Its about time this snake in the grass moves on and I believe Theresa May will give him that push

Osborne and Michael Gove are two of a kind, untrustworthy back stabbing snakes

Seems he backed neither candidate, but was first to congratulate May when she won.

Can see her maybe offering him another role but doubt it'll be home office or foreign sec..

Think he'll head off to the back benches and have time to concentrate on his other interests..

There will be a huge reshuffle imminent.

I don't think he'll find himself out in the cold completely - he's too much experience for that - however as the poster above suggests, I think he will be one of the many, shuffled.

i think in times that are coming it may help to have him and his contacts in government so i think he may end up being foreign secretary... or trade and industry secretary

for the economy it is actually better and more important that carney stays as BoE governor then osborne being chancellor...

Since when are those three 'damaged'? They won the argument to Leave the EU. Now whether the two Tories have a job in the Cabinet is for the new PM to decide. Gove is getting credit (on all sides) for his penal reforms and may be asked to continue those reforms which are actually showing less re-offending.

BoJo was not in Government before the Referendum but he won the Referendum. So he will have a job in any new 'Department for Brexit'.

Don't be surprised if Gisela Stuart isn't invited to be in that negotiating team as well....

Cameron and Osborne are damaged goods not because the Remain side lost but because they a) tied the UK Government to the Remain side (when they should have stayed neutral) and b)the manner in which they both (along with the rest of the Establishment) tried to frighten the British people into submission and signally failed. Cameron had the dignity to resign. Osborne will need firing and May will do that.

may and gove apparently can't stand each other... so leaving him at justice basically keeps him out the way

and there is not a cat in hell's chance boris ends up at brexit... she famously derided his negoiating skills by say he went to europe to do a deal with europe... and all he came back with was 3 fire trucks (which she actually refused to ever let him use... and khans first act as mayor was to sell them !)

Was going to address your post but just seen Fabio has covered some of my response, May and Osborne have had difference's before and I think she will want a fresh pair of heels next door..

Also where you not saying last week that Leadsom would have made a good chancellor when it was in the public domain then that her cv and some of the total cobblers claims she was trying to make re Eddie George showed that she is a bit of a fantasist?

On Stewart I agree but the rest of them I doubt will be anywhere high office, though I would put boris in some type of trade ambassador role to sort out all the deals he said were imminent..

So we agree on Osborne, Stuart and BoJo. As for Leadsom I am not sure her CV was as wrong as you make out. She gave a clear response in an interview with the BBC and even her interviewer, Laura Kuenssberg, was more than satisfied even subsequently with her replies. And certainly never used it against her. She deserves a position in any 'Department for Brexit'.

Given the odds are that Philip Hammond is likely moving into No 10 (and does have excellent qualifications) the debate is academic.

Not on boris we don't, his talents will best serve the country in selling UK plc etc and doing trips where he can help with trade etc..

He would be less effective as a part of the negotiations with the Eu re brexit..

I'm Glad to see Osborne get the boot. Funny now Hammond says there is no need for an emergency budget.

Its all come out now that Osborne told German government officials and the IMF to get involved in the referendum debate to threaten the British public and that was unforgivable. Osborne should crawl off to the back benches now and keep his gob shut.
