And your view would have been the same if brexit had failed by such a narrow margin ? Clearly ukip weren't going to call it a day if brexit had failed ...so out with a Norway type deal does it for me how about you ?

A fairly rubbish video that wasn't really very funny in my opinion. It's easy to find stupid people on either side of any debate, but people would be foolish to believe that they represent all of one side of the debate.

I know you think it's funny to laugh about people who care about politics, but isn't that better than apathy and low turn outs?

I'm sure we will have to agree to disagree about this point, but I dont really think it was a massive majority, it was very close, less than a 1% swing. I think a 60+/40- would be a massive majority.

I think the phrase "we're all brexiters now" is an attempt at white washing history and trying to pretend that more than 38% of the electorate actually voted for Brexit.

For the remain side moaning about size of majority Brexit vote or wanting another vote. Do you think that Scotland should have another vote on independence seeing as 45% voted to leave and 55% voted to remain? Not a massive majority either.

I am afraid that you can only count those that voted.

Those that didn't either could not be bothered or did not care or could not decide.

Do you think that a referendum can be held in a different way?

Complaining about the result is not a good starting point for a debate.

Yes there are other ways to do a referendum, we have done them in the UK, you may have even have voted in some.

Only the majority of those who voted ..even in a general election they don't always do what they say in their their manifesto..they will do what their financial backers want and just dress it up to be palatable to the electorate ..im sure it wont be the last time the electorate will be fooled by lies and believe it ..only time will tell what the tories will do ..

....Was that a 'Norway Deal' I just saw flying by looking for a home?

We are all Brexit now except for the few toy throwers who live in cloud cuckoo land pondering another referendum.

We can now be whatever we wish to be uncluttered by a myriad of irrelevant and unwanted interference from a foreign organisation that does not have our interests at heart. The British people have faced worse than this and come through. And what a potentially brilliant future we have its just a few seem to only see the EU 'Single Market'...

Why would we get a bad deal? surely if a deal is no good for you whe you are in business then you just walk away?

If someone does not want you're business then take it somewhere else.

Camaron should have walked away from the table as soon as they told him what if anything was on the table.

Should have just walked out and said nothing to them.

Never going to get a good deal from them anyways so no point in even bothering, better to concentrate on the rest of the world now

Indeed! Now the government has to be truly accountable and not hide behind "Brussels made us do it!"

I fear there will be some bitterly disappointed people when they realise their shitty lives are still shitty, not that I care, just don't want them taking out their frustrations on me and mine.

Interesting that it has apparently split the country on one topic The EU

Whereas every general election does the same thing as opposing parties have polerised manifestos but you never hear of a split country when either labour or conservative manage to lose an election

Better off out now lets hope someone can negotiate some terms or exit that benefits UK

That's because the stakes are much higher for this than a general election. Also in a general election you have the government and an official opposition that can hopefully temper the government policy and can certainly scrutinise it etc. With this there is no offical opposition to Brexit. Also with a general election there is an opportunity to reverse the decision at least every five years, not so with Brexit.

Remain lost, by a slim margin, not a huge one. Remainers wont "wear a brexit hat with pride" anymore than you would have wrapped yourself in an EU flag had the result gone the other way.

I think the phrase "we're all brexiters now" is an attempt at white washing history and trying to pretend that more than 38% of the electorate actually voted for Brexit. another negative moany post from you.

Is it correct or not? "

it is correct that we are all brexiters now

"What an interesting result

Just incase some have forgotten

Remain 48.1% - Votes 16,141,241 Votes (Losers)

Leave 51.9% - Votes 17,410,742 Votes (Winners) via huge majority

A greater UK dont forget about the rest of us lol

here is an interesting view on the outcome

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bn_6sU7O43w&app=desktop

Now we are all brexit, the whole of the UK, me, you and all of us, so we need to build a greater Britain.

it is correct that we are all brexiters now

In much the same way that we are now all Tory's

not at all, you can support any party you like, you have a choice but remain has gone and gone for good, it no longer exists so we are all brexiters now

A Brexiter is someone who voted to take away rights that I and millions of other people had. A Brexiter is someone who voted to damage our economy. A Brexiter is someone who voted to put our security at risk. A Brexiter is someone who voted to put our environment at risk. A Brexiter is someone who voted to damage our universities and scientific research.

I am not a Brexiter

A Brexiter is someone who voted to take back our sovereignty from unelected bureaucrats. A Brexiter is someone who could see the EU as a racket that would make Al Capone blush. A Brexiter is someone who finally baulked at billions in taxpayers money being flushed down the toilet of political vanity projects. A Brexiter is someone who finally removed his blinkers and realised there is a whole world to do business with rather than just navel gazing at 27 others who are mostly basket cases. A Brexiter is someone who is sick and tired of having laws forced upon him by people who really do not have his/her interests at heart.

I am a Brexiter. "

To exit don't you have to be inside in the first place? You live in Germany in case you hadn't noticed.

Yep. But not been gone for 15 years yet and still entitled to vote. Oh and living in Germany, or wherever, doesn't make me any less British or any less entitled to an opinion than you.

"A fairly rubbish video that wasn't really very funny in my opinion.

I think the phrase "we're all brexiters now" is an attempt at white washing history and trying to pretend that more than 38% of the electorate actually voted for Brexit. another negative moany post from you.

Is it correct or not?

it is correct that we are all brexiters now

The problem with brexiters is they think that if they say something enough times it will make it true.

If it's a problem for you just stop saying it

The things I say are factually correct, the things that most Brexiters say are just hopes and dreams.

oh, another brexiter

Well I couldn't possibly stay with remain after some complete bigot said that all their supporters were fucking idiots, could I?

Seen the light at last, well done

well, apart from the fact that remainers no longer exist anyway thanks to the majority

And of course bigots exist in that majority too don't they? That's not something you'd personally deny is it ? Given your previously expressed views?

" A Brexiter is someone who voted to take away rights that I and millions of other people had."

So what 'rights' are those? The EU gave you no 'rights' you didn't have before. It gave you freedom to move but you had that anyway. Oh wait you never went to Spain on Holiday before we joined the EEc / EU?

" A Brexiter is someone who voted to damage our economy. "

Pardon me? Precisely WHAT did the EU give this economy you say is now damaged? Oh wait again .. an annual £61 Bn trade deficit we have to borrow to fund. And we paid some £13.2 Bn a year for the privilege.

" A Brexiter is someone who voted to put our security at risk. "

Without being cruel in view of the events in Nice (but it sadly proves my point) tell that to the French, Belgians and Germans. They must really love being in the EU. We have the best intelligence and security systems in the world. The Eu rely on us just as the USA and others do. When was our last terrorist attack?

" A Brexiter is someone who voted to put our environment at risk."

Complete and utter twaddle. We observe emission and environmental rules better than anyone in bloody Europe ... and why our coal fired stations are being shut too damn soon while Germany are building them...

" A Brexiter is someone who voted to damage our universities and scientific research."

Oh dear what complete rubbish. So what benefit does the EU give us we do not actually fund ourselves through them? And if it is worthwhile research then we can fund it even better directly ourselves. And please don't talk about foreign students. we have a waiting list from outside the EU and especially China.

"I am not a Brexiter "

I agree .. you sound like a bitter and twisted loser who cannot accept the democratic will of the British people. And then make unfounded accusations (like above) to somehow justify your attitude.

So you agree that I am not a Brexiter? Thanks for that.

Yes you voted to take my rights away, you voted to take away my right to go and work in the EU. You have also voted to take my right away to approach some (not all) European courts. This right is currently being used by the Brexit minister to sue the Prime Minister.

Yes your vote has damaged our economy, the EU is the worlds biggest single market and you have voted to leave it. The pound has crashed, some people think that this is great because exports will be more competitive, but lets think about jobs that the normal citizens of this country have; solider/sailor/airman/marine - doesn’t export anything, teacher - doesn’t export anything, council worker/civil servant - doesn’t export anything, supermarket worke - doesn’t export anything, chef - doesn’t export anything, builder/carpenter/electrician/plumber - doesn’t export anything, train/bus driver - doesn’t export anything. But all of those kinds of people like to go on holiday, they like to eat banana and tomatoes and a lot of other foods all year round, they like watching imported TV, or playing on their imported phones. The vast majority of the British public export nothing, and import a lot, all of which will be more expensive.

Yes your vote has damaged British security, if you don’t believe me, go and ask why NATO, GCHQ, MI5 and MI6 supported staying in the EU.

Yes your vote has damaged the environment. A week ago we had a department for Energy and Climate Change, that has already disappeared. You can also ask Greenpeace, the RSPB and WWF all supported remaining in the EU.

Yes your vote will damage UK universities and scientific research. If you don’t believe me you can ask Stephen Hawking, or Tim Peake, or Richard Dawkins or the Royal Society why they supported remaining in the UK. UK Universities have already found that international partners are asking British universities to take their names off of EU funding applications.

I voted to leave a corrupt, unaccountable organization to which we contribute more than we get back and which dictates how we spend the money that we do get back.

I did not vote to harm security, which is not EU based.

I did not vote to harm the environment. Ditto.

And much as I love Mr Hawking and the RSPB, they are not going to be asked to bail out the Italian banks.

"What an interesting result

Just incase some have forgotten

Remain 48.1% - Votes 16,141,241 Votes (Losers)

Leave 51.9% - Votes 17,410,742 Votes (Winners) via huge majority

here is an interesting view on the outcome

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bn_6sU7O43w&app=desktop

Now we are all brexit, the whole of the UK, me, you and all of us, so we need to build a greater Britain.

"

That is entertaining.

But very worrying that some of our young people aren't well educated in how our country is run.

Good to see some of our younger voters engaging thoughx

"A fairly rubbish video that wasn't really very funny in my opinion.

I think the phrase "we're all brexiters now" is an attempt at white washing history and trying to pretend that more than 38% of the electorate actually voted for Brexit. another negative moany post from you.

If my opinion of anyone who wants to stay in the EU makes me a bigot then so what? Guilty as charged

Indeed you are. Meanwhile those of us who recognise the country as being the victims of conmen and liars are going to be unwilling to be classed as conmen and liars by any bigots, conmen or liars at all.

that padded cell is getting ever closer

You're already in it aren't you?

the fact you lost is driving you mad isn't it? I really should feel some sympathy or understanding but frankly...

I find it hilarious

Me too.

Oh poor Godfrey and the hypocrite from Germany, sadly for you, you both vastly overrate the value of your opinions. The joys of the bigot and the xenophobe, hey?

And this from the man pontificating from his ivory tower saying 'Remainers' never abused others and it was 'Brexiters' who did ...

Hypocrisy EU style ....

Poor old reverend Timothy, keep on working up the fibs and you'll soon be in heaven.

Brexiter "

"What an interesting result

Just incase some have forgotten

Remain 48.1% - Votes 16,141,241 Votes (Losers)

Leave 51.9% - Votes 17,410,742 Votes (Winners) via huge majority

here is an interesting view on the outcome

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bn_6sU7O43w&app=desktop

Now we are all brexit, the whole of the UK, me, you and all of us, so we need to build a greater Britain.

"

This one is quite good too

You are becoming very predictable. It's easy to spot when you have run out of dodgy statistics because then you just love to get personal.

Maybe you are due another training course in Brussels to brush up on the latest propaganda.

You lost, get over it.

LOL there's always something fishy about your outrage from the heartland of Germany. Maybe we're due another racey little racist story about muslims from you."

Ha ha ha. lolololololol.

The only outrage here is from a sore loser.

You've run out of arguments. You've run out of dodgy statistics so you revert back to something I wrote over a year ago that has nothing to do with this at all. For nothing else other than to make you feel like the clever one for getting the last word.

Really really pathetic.

As it happens I stand by EVERY word of that story and the more I see here on the front line the more I think I didn't go far enough.

Even the Syrian family in our flats think it is pretty close to the truth. But of course from your comfortable keyboard warrior HQ nowhere near the front you know better.

Are you a descendent of General Haig by any chance?

Yeah but who voted for Theresa May?

Does it still count as a victory if everyone else has dropped out?

"Yeah but who voted for Theresa May?

a) Firstly her Constituants and then the majority (like 2/3) of the Parliamentary Conservative Party.

b) Yes. To think otherwise is slightly odd.

The electorate voted for members of a parliament which on current rules will last for five years.

Parliament will choose a Prime Minister who will in turn appoint and lead a government.

As yet Britain doesn't have presidential elections.

Sums it up really.

"The generation who claimed the older generation ruined their future by voting Brexit are the generation currently chasing imaginary Pokemon"

Enough said.

"What other referundums have been offered to me, other than the Scottish independence?i"

Electoral reform. Admittedly it was quite dull and badly argued on both sides but it was definitely A Thing That Happened.

You'd be happy with joking Schengen (no passport control at all), still pay into the EU budget, still follow all the EU Single Market rules but not have any say in their creation? I think we'd be better off as we are - at least we can control our borders and we can influence decisions.

What influence would that have been then? Better off out of it and if they wanted to impose tariffs that's a 2 way street

Forgive me but who are these wonderful British companies that are going to take on the world and employ so many that are being held back by being in the Eu?

Or are we really talking about Eu companies looking to get around other tariff barriers via the Uk.

From being world leaders in so many industries to bit players as our business leaders have sold us down the river for short term profit.
