There is no need for UKIP now (and I have never supported them before people make assumptions). So it makes sense especially as there is no conceivable way his party would be involved in Brexit talks anyway. |

Feels this is a tactical move. With Farage gone it will be more difficult for labour to compete with them in the midlands and north.
Remember they came second in many area's
and are working hard to gain working class area voters forgotten about by both parties. |

errr .. sorry? 3 of the 5 candidates for the Tory party leadership and therefore the next PM are all Brexiters. One could argue Theresa May is a neutral as she made one comment and said migration needs to be reduced and then kept her head down. So who is running for the hills?

A man who is in considerable pain from reconstructive surgery in 2013 after that plane crash in 2010 has decided after 25 years of abuse, ridicule and being called a racist scumbag (see above) to call it a day leading UKIP and this means more pages of ignorant abuse? This man fought for one thing for over 2 decades. The party he led won the last European elections. The party he led got some 4 million votes in 2015 and was the 3rd largest party by vote and percentage. And the party he led so rattled the Establishment they agreed to call an EU referendum. And the movement this man led got 17.4 million voters and a majority to agree with him and voted for what he has campaigned for against all the odds. To leave the EU.
This man has changed the face of UK politics more than any living Prime Minister without ever gaining office.
This man is Nigel Farage. He is a total legend and we should be forever grateful he had the courage to fight when others gave up. And I speak as a Tory voter. |

Why do people keeping saying that the UK has left the EU? We haven't yet. I keep posting the same thing as these debates have such polarised views with everyone claiming their opinion is fact.
The only FACT we have is that we had a referendum on 23rd June, which ended withe a result of leave by a margin of 4% (not the *massive* result that also keeps being suggested).
We do not yet have:
1. A government in place that will effect the requirements to leave;
2. A plan for how we will begin to leave
3. Anyone to lead any negotiations
4. A date for when we will trigger Article 50 (or the quicker repeal of the 1972 European Communities Act)
Farage has accomplished getting a referendum and the referendum result he wanted. He has accomplished being boorish and insulting to his fellow MEPs. He has not accomplished the UK having left the EU.

How often does Cameron or Corbyn 'turn up' in the Commons? But when Farage does 'turn up' he totally destroys the EU apparatchiks with some brilliant speeches.

If he stood down now and gave up his seat I might have a moment of reconsideration and see him as acting with some honour. He has none.
