Westminster is carnage at the moment. MPs have been shown to be back stabbing, deceitful, money grabbing and generally odious.

Are we sure we want more powers passed to them?

What, power corrupts?

not only in the financial sense either..

twas ever thus though..

we seem as an electorate to be fairly blase, naive or totally apathetic to how and why they bring in the various powers they they do..

If by that you mean 'life' is overwhelmingly white (94%), male (61%), privately educated (25% over all, opposed to 7% of the general and population but rising to 54% of Tory MPs) and with an average age of 51, then sure, they reflect life.

as I gave examples of behavioural traits, rather than background, I though my point was clear enough.

Obviously not.

on the road to nowhere in particular

You only have to witness the bitching and posturing on the forums to see that they do indeed reflect many parts of our society

Anarchy, I say!!

Maybe this is the start of an uprising ?

Just off to buy some chickens, my veggies are doing nicely, got strawberries too…you always need to be prepared for food shortages during a revolution

Power tends to corrupt.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely!

If you think the present lot are corrupt wait until May gets into power and withdraws from the ECHR!

Then learn what was truly meant by our latest batch of Tories saying 'the days when all you you had to do was obey the law to be left alone are over'...

Welcome to the 'brave new world' of 1984.

Are you truly surprised? Ambitious people with no moral compass would sell their own granny down the river to get ahead.

I have no sympathy for Boris, he's bright enough to have watched his back for karma.
