The referendum has split people down the middle and resulted in a politics lounge!

Would someone's political standpoint have any effect on your decision to meet them?!

I think there's less full on discussion at the moment about football teams. I get your point it shouldn't matter but I think recently that's changed considering the referendum who shall not be named

The divide is an illusion..

I Remained because I want better for Britain. ..

I chose Leave because I want better for Britain...

Silly people your fighting your allies we all ant the same thing.

And believe it or not that's the point to divide. . Because after all if we are divided, it's less likely that we will communicate with each other and bring about a universal solution.... a solution that makes everyone happy...

one of our best friends are keen remainers, we are off to the rocky horror in bris in a couple of weeks, will be determined that we wont be discussing it, could be a bit embarrassing if two blokes in stockings get arrested for scraping about it

on the road to nowhere in particular

I have already had someone from another site say they would not meet me because of the way I voted. There are a lot on other sites that have stated they won't meet people with opposing political or religious beliefs. I don't really want to associate with anyone with such closed and bigoted minds. It works as a great filter for me.

For the record it wouldn't change my opinion on someone. Maybe it would highlight how deep the rift is. It's interesting for sure

God no. In fact someone who lucidly argues their point is far more interesting than someone who has nothing to say.

My other half is a Farage loving ukip voting capitalist. I'm, according to my other half a tree hugging, leftie, bleeding heart union trouble maker.

There's only so much I can take, so yeah!

That all depends where you are from, you don't go to Larkhall supporting Celtic unless you have just been off the phone to the Samaritans and they couldn't help

This for me too. I meet Tories (regularly). BUT, the posts over the last few weeks about Brexit has put a lot of people on my "cross the road if you ever see them" list. I'm sure I'm on theirs too.

I meant more along the lines of would you get as far as a meet. It seems to have caused divides all over the shop and was intrigued if it had infiltrated what is usually a very open and accepting community

Personally I would not block someone just for a different political belief as I would in real life lose s lot of friends if I took that attitude.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that's the way it would be, I think there are plenty of couples who share differing political stances but still get on

Political beliefs are not particularly important, but this debate has revealed some very nasty sides to some people.

Open and accepting community? We have very different experiences of this place.

I do chat to people about all sorts of things and political ideologies affect so much of life that politics do get discussed.

If the _iews expressed are objectionable then my body is never likely to respond. I can agree to disagree with people who have different _iews and can and do get on with them fine, including for sex, just not those that are so small minded that they become racist, homophobic, happy to see people experience injustice and generally obnoxious people.

Open and accepting in the sense that they'll happily discuss and encourage multiple fingers up an arse. You know what I mean

Would depend how they presented that opinion. One of my friends did 'pull' at a nightclub in Edinburgh during the Indy ref. At the end of the night he asked which way she was voting, she said No, he left her there and then lol

How about spineless twats? FYI twat is slang or vagina. Vaginas don't have a spine. So we have to go to the next option. The vagina is female. So am I right in thinking that you won't have sex with a woman?

- Labour voter, no

- hardcore fan of Corbyn, yes

- fan if BNP, EDL or any other stupid far right group, yes

- UKIP, no

- a hint of blaming problems on immigrants, yes
