This is the link to his speech:

http://news.sky.com/story/1717728/live-cameron-in-brussels-for-brexit-talks

I cant believe the smug self-satisfied smirk on the mans face as he sits down after inflaming the European parliament with such a divisive speech.

Can the man really be so crassly stupid not to realise that those he is baiting control how good a deal we get with the EU? Or is he in reality an agent provocateur in the employ of a foreign power with orders to do as much damage to the UK as possible?

Part of me thinks it was intentional. He knows the EU is going to play hardball with the UK. Nigel will attempt to portray the tories as weak poor negotiators at the next election.

Yep but bear in mind two things-

a) He's never going to be a negotiator for Britain so it's really his last hurrah!

b) Everyone in Europe knows he hates them and he's been working hard for years to savour this, let's be honest, highly improbable moment. It's the swan-song of a man who has achieved a titanic event in political history against all the odds. I think if I'd been him I might well have permitted myself a 'screw you, I won' moment!

Now, though, he just needs to down a few pints and hand over the hard work to people who really know how to negotiate!

Titz Towers, North Notts

It reminded me of when you are out with people and someone who's tagged along because they work with a friend causes a scene in a pub and then flounces off into the night after telling the manager and all the staff where to stick it. The same pub that you all have to go into with work a week later and then again with the quiz team a few days after that

The man is a fool but that can come as no shock to people.

The EU can't afford to go easy on us in negotiations, they will lose almost 16% of their funding when/if we leave. So to give us a good deal could leave the door open for other countries to go. Deal harshly and hope others will think twice.

Oh get over it, it's not like he said it to Merkel's face. Just a bunch of nobodies in a talking shop.

He told a very corrupt, inefficient, arrogant, ivory towers organisation what the overwhelmingly majority of British people think of them.

I'm not just talking about the 52% of leave people, I'm talking about a large proportion of remain voters who had some hopes of reforming the EU. But the EU's arrogant reaction since our vote has left me doubting they were ever reformable and I'm glad someone gave them the verbal finger on the way out.

They are the ones responsible for the leave vote as far as I am concerned.

I'm not just talking about the 52% of leave people, I'm talking about a large proportion of remain voters who had some hopes of reforming the EU. But the EU's arrogant reaction since our vote has left me doubting they were ever reformable and I'm glad someone gave them the verbal finger on the way out.

They are the ones responsible for the leave vote as far as I am concerned."

well said lady;

sadly the UK has far to many pc fuddy duddies amongst us too, frightened to say boo to a ghost and as such think its a shocking horror with what he said

That seems to be the mantra of many people who voted for Brexit.

I think we now know that 17 out of the 19 areas with highest unemployment voted Leave.

You'd think they'd put their efforts into making themselves competitive.

So now the vitriol is to attack people for having the 'wrong' sort of job. Right.

I'll have to remember the Fab Forum rules that you can't earn more than £26k unless you earn more than £100k; if you don't have a job you're a scrounger; if you have a public sector job you're worthless and on some sort of gravy train.

Asked by ITV's Good Morning Britain whether he could guarantee that the £350m that was sent to the EU would now go the NHS, Mr Farage said: “No I can’t, I would never have made that claim.

"That was one of the mistakes made by the Leave campaign.”

"great guy and speech, only can wish he was pm, he would sort this country out, and get it back on track. and stop out foreign aid spending.

Luckily, he can't even get himself elected as an an MP these days, all he is/has been is Boris' pawn in his (former ) quest to be the leader of the Conservative party. He'll soon be out of a job as an MEP, and then what?

He's had his day in the sun. Bye, Nigel.

You may want to do some research about the national police inquiry into election expenses in thanet south were Nigel Farage was an MP until the conservatives won the seat in the last election.

The government spent tax payers money on leaflets urging people to stay in. So they are all at it.

A bit like dennis skinner he has spent 17 years working for this unlike most politicians who cant their minds more often than their suits, I know you and many more dont like him and thats fine, I dont like DS's ideas but I do respect him sticking to his principles in the same way NF has done the same,he has taken a lot of shit from these overpaid waste of spaces for a long time including today,I bet if you, I or any body had taken the same we would have wanted to have the last laugh. "It's interesting that not a single person has made an economic reason about why Nigel Farage is wrong just personal acts.

Also people say Nigel Farage is racist but he says with a visa system we can let people from all over the world who are skilled into the UK?

He added up his NHS figures wrong so I'm not sure about his maths.

Which figures were added up wrong?

Asked by ITV's Good Morning Britain whether he could guarantee that the £350m that was sent to the EU would now go the NHS, Mr Farage said: “No I can’t, I would never have made that claim.

"That was one of the mistakes made by the Leave campaign.”

"

I tell you what if you can find one article or clip where the leave said ALL the 350 would be spent on the NHS I will give £100 to charity

"He'd waited 17 years to make that speech! My personal favorite bit was 'most of you have never had a real job... let alone created one'. I've kinda of wanted to say that to the political elite for a while...

The sad thing is the other countries behaved with decorum and their points were spot on. He just behaved like a spoilt brat and did us no favours. Do we want the whole of Europe to hate us?

Oh get over it, it's not like he said it to Merkel's face. Just a bunch of nobodies in a talking shop.

He told a very corrupt, inefficient, arrogant, ivory towers organisation what the overwhelmingly majority of British people think of them.

I'm not just talking about the 52% of leave people, I'm talking about a large proportion of remain voters who had some hopes of reforming the EU. But the EU's arrogant reaction since our vote has left me doubting they were ever reformable and I'm glad someone gave them the verbal finger on the way out.

They are the ones responsible for the leave vote as far as I am concerned.

loved it. About time somebody told them what they are. I actually think he was quite reserved about it and should have said more"

I loved it too. Couldn't help but laugh at old droopy face Juncker and Martin Schultz looking like a volcano that wanted to erupt.

Farage was spot on with what he said, and seeing as he has worked towards this for the last 20 years, you can't blame him for giving them all a piece of his mind before he left.

I actually think he was quite reserved about it and should have said more

Didn't you think he would have commanded more respect by actually not rubbing their noses in it? Is he an MEP just for him or for the other 48% of the U.K. Too who wanted to stay? Or don't those people matter?

I tell you what if you can find one article or clip where the leave said ALL the 350 would be spent on the NHS I will give £100 to charity

They had it on their website as a banner. It said "give our NHS the £350 million the EU takes every week".

It has since been taken down funnily enough but the Indy point out how you can see cached versions of the old site if you want to look.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/brexit-vote-leave-wipes-nhs-350m-claim-and-rest-of-its-website-after-eu-referendum-a7105546.html

You missed the magic word!

It actually said "could give our NHS the £350 million the EU takes every week".

Just like alien crab people could beam down to earth with the sole purpose of rewinding time 24 hours and allowing England to replay their match against Iceland. It could happen.

Don't you think people thought it Would not Could? Why make the figure such a big part of the campaign otherwise. Dirty tactic.

Yes dirty tactics work well on stupid people. Welcome to politics.

Who is stupid?

Anyone who believed the NHS would be getting £350m a week extra as a direct result of leaving the EU

But voters did didn't they. They don't read the small print. "

Stupid ones did yes, it's not the small print, it's the opening word! 'Could' basically makes everything that comes after it irrelevant because the laws of physics are not fully known and therefore pretty much anything could happen.

Yes it 'could' if we left the EU, now we're leaving it will be.

No we couldn't we don't and or didn't pay 350 mil per week the figure should have been 135 week .so no we couldn't "

How many more times Nigel Farage was NOT part of the official leave campaign. A BBC reporter inter_iewed Farage earlier today and tried to get him on the 350m per week figure. Nigel Farage replied

.."I was not part of the official vote leave campaign. I did not have that figure on my bus. My bus was a ukip bus which said "we want our country back" on the side".

If you are not colour blind the bus Nigel Farage toured the country in was purple and yellow (ukip colours). The official vote leave campaign bus was red and white.

"What has the (EU) done for, Britain.

The country is in such a mess. Because we are dictated by the (EU) and, Britain. can not govern itself.

We need more people like, Farage. and, Johnson. To stand up for, Britain. Atleast, with, Britain. voting to "leave" this country of (Britain.) can become "great" again? "

And today in his speech why didn't he say something to calm the hate crime that is on the increase?

No he was not a figure head in the official vote leave campaign. The official vote leave campaign shut Nigel out. Nigel was part of the "Grassroots out" campaign and the Leave.EU campaign, and when it went to the electoral commission to decide which one would get the official designation, Vote Leave got the nomination ahead of Grassroots out.

You mean the "breaking point" poster? That was a Leave.EU poster to highlight the failure of the EU over the migrant crisis. Would you call the EU's handling of the migrant crisis a success?
