"I've noticed whenever the Labour PM,his deputy and the Chancellor visit a site or factory production stops, everyone standing around looking at Labour face talking..." It would have been the same with the Tories.

"I have been to a couple of these press PM events, they are all about the optics, either promoting a scheme that ties in with policy, help supporting a buyout or show support from their voting base. A large group watching on looks great, even if they are confused why the PM has turned up ![]() ![]() When it's a Royal fuck my old boots the sheer ott flap that goes on in the build up.. Anne visited a unit in Germany and we were there prepping it for two weeks, rather than her cars take five minutes longer they messed up two rugby and one football pitch to the extent they needed relayed.. Waste of money and time..

"I've noticed whenever the Labour PM,his deputy and the Chancellor visit a site or factory production stops, everyone standing around looking at Labour face talking. If I was the boss I'd be fuming, no fucking work being done. Also it's all talk talk about things to come under Labours policy but nothing really materialising. This is going to happen, that's going to happen, so n so is investing in Britain. I see the smoke filled bubble bursting." It was more of a sshhh, I lip read one of the production staff, did keir just say he is going to sell and unlock nhs patient data. ![]()

I can only take the point of this post as more Labour bashing rather than a question or debate, as you haven't said or asked anything other than repeat the same opinions you make of them every few days. I would like to know, have you ever worked in a heavy industry or civil engineering environment yourself?

I would like to know, have you ever worked in a heavy industry or civil engineering environment yourself?" In 1979 - 1988 I worked for an electronic engineering company supplying the defence forces of this country, 1988 - 1998 I worked for an Industrial Pipeline supplies Company 1998-2002 I worked for a utility meter manufacturer, 2002-2024 I worked for a Shipping Company. I'll bash any goverment red, green, blue, yellow or pink, who wants to fuck me and my colleagues lives up, Labour are in power so they are top of the fuck up list, if they try and fuck my life up I'll return the intentions. Like they tried in 1978, 1998 and 2008. I don't fuck about when it comes to protecting my livelyhood and my family. When Margerat Moran decieved expenses for a boyfriends houe in Southampton and Labour leave a note saying there's no money left they should hang their heads in shame. I never trust MP's or PM's or Governments. I hope that clarifies things for you.

Thank you for answering my question, I am glad you answered as you did as the next part will explain why I asked this. It seems from your response you are well accustomed to the methods in these organisations, as am I, and know that production is king. However parallel to this notion is when any big wig feels the need to make statements and garner support, be it usually through some strange briefings and usually pointless token of appreciation. Nothing stimulates these more than successes like some eye watering profits, yet it actually only ever comes across as them patting themselves on the back, congratulating each other for everyone elses hard work who isn't privvy to them. Government/prime minister demonstrations are no different, my time in industry we had many a pointless visitors where red carpet is rolled out seemingly for no good practical reason but to kiss arse and "be in with the boys", good publicity is great for those types of industry and that will continue to be something they will always take up. You're entitled to an opinion as is everyone, I will occasionally make one known too. I'm no champion of labour, Keir Starmer or Rachel Reeves etc. But you have just made a seemingly bias thread without balance or can I see given a contrast of how it should be done. Don't get me started on point scoring nonsense that newspapers make to whip up histeria and create divisions. The "sorry no money left" bs that is still used by tories is equally as annoying, as it was from day one, when labour ministers repeat 22 billion black hole nauseating tripe. Why would you waste your time using that? as it doesn't construct any argument or mean anything. You haven't clarified anything as nothing was unclear, it only stood to reinforce what my initial impression of your OP was. I do genuinely wish for you, your friends and family that the reality of things improves. I believe in the phases said about how apathy can be the biggest killer to a bright future and the thing is apathy is abundant right now.
