Are you happy to see the savings from the axing of NHS England go to Defence Department?
Are we also happy with the cuts to PIP and welfare funding?
I personally would prefer a system with a few bad eggs but ensures those who need it can access it. |

All in the name of politics and populism and always at the expense of those most vulnerable in society rather than the super rich and tax dodgers. It seems everyone has already forgotten the heartache and even loss of life of people who had to go through those horrendous assessments to prove they could not walk few cms or their support would be cut. Worse for those with conditions that have blighted their lives but harder to prove. I am disgusted petsonally at how these people can sometimes be treated just to prove that some are not entitled to the support they need. Yes there might be a few but the processes are so traumatic for the rest that can seriously impact further on their wellbeing. We have become an uncaring society with our views often rooted in prejudice of various kinds and not the rhetoric of fairness that we like to portray. As always it's my opinion and I am sure will not be shared by many on here who have often been vocal about scroungers and their taxes going to them and such like. We all have a diffetent view of a fair and caring society. Perhaps if they or someone close to them had to go through what we put through our most vulnerable in society sometimes, they would hold a different opinion. On that note and as always I am out and never look back at any posts as I can imagine there will be no different to those on other occasions. Love is better than hate |

I’d prefer a political party to include all these things in their manifesto ahead of time, so we can make a better informed decision.
And if they don’t deliver - They’re out
Ofcourse, that’s a “If I Was In Charge Scenario” & not the real world |

"Get rid, not fit for purpose. Lose NI contributions and go private."
Hahahaha.
The first class NHS emergency tratment and surgery I received last December amounts to around $300,000 in the US. From emergency ambulance transport to hospital stay.
So no thank you, I’d like to keep the NHS.
People who shout “let’s go private” clearly have NEVER lived somewhere where healthcare is private. I did for 30 years and if you can’t pay, you die. Simple as that. |

Short sighted and selfish.
How many people who have private health care actually pay it themselves??
I would suggest many have it as part of employment contract.

I think people have got the wrong end of the stick, NHS England is NOT a public body. They are a private entity that commission public work (I.e NHS services) and quite regularly they are commissioned to private entities. By getting rid of NHSE you’re putting spending decisions back in the hands of government so they can be properly held to account. This is deprivatisation of the NHS and reducing duplication. It’s a good thing in my books (and a lot of people within NHS trusts feel the same way).
The welfare cuts are a disgusting attack on the most vulnerable in society to continue to protect the wealth of the richest in our society. If they truly wanted disabled people in work, they would come at that from the social model of disability and ensure businesses have the funds to make adjustments etc. |

Depends on balance doesn't it? How many few bad eggs do you accept? 1 million? 5 million? 10 million? Let's change the system to make it harder to be a bad egg. Not sure there can be any defence for defrauding the tax power because you can easily do so.
As for cuts? Well in principle no but let's support those that need it and challenge those that don't to go and be more productive. It's what the rest of us have to do... At least try to... Never know it might even help the nations emotional well being. As for defence. It's non negotiable first objective of government and we've been asleep at the wheel for 30 years. |

Not to mention all the jobs that these defence contracts support and provide, plus exports of course…. All cash to provide public services elsewhere |

"I notice that there's no plans to axe NNS Wales or Scotland even though the devolved governments are part funded from Westminster with Scotland's budget rising to its highest ever this year.
"
Totally different as they have funds from Westminster to run their own health services. |

The savings made from axing NHS England will not go back to the NHS. Its going to defence...Ukraine more than likely. |

Savings? Why would they save any money... But even if they do yes defence of the realm is the top priority otherwise we'll all be talking Russian or Chinese or Arabic in 10 years |

I think you will find that the majority of consultants in "private" work for the NHS and without the NHS effectively subsidising "private" healthcare you may not be able to afford it |

So I have been hear resantly my privet consultant I saw in an NHS hospital, but the proseger was carried out at a private hospital.
But after complications, the same consultant saw me under the NHS 5 weeks later at an NHS hospital. And I've I flet it was a conflict, and I was jumping a que. Was given antibiotics but 3 weeks later had to see him again and was back in as NHS and told to bring a bag. Never a good sign. But there was no space so 6 days later was back at hospital for a second operation under the NHS to sort out infection front the complications. NHS was not as nice but saved my life posably as Privet could not find a slot and the consultant felt guilty as it had not gone to plan first time.e round. |
