US illegal border crossings plummet

The number of immigrants being arrested for illlegally crossing the US border has plummeted since President Trump’s inauguration, down 82%.
In February border patrols arrested 8,000 illegals, compared to 47,000 in December under Biden. Illegals using the Darien Gap to enter the US illegally are also down 99%.
It seems that stopping illegal immigration really is just a matter of political will.
Meanwhile in the UK we are getting more of the usual “nothing can be done” from our politicians, meaning “we don’t want to do anything about it”.

Is that because Trump has done a great job scaring the immigrants away, or because Trump has made so many cutbacks that there aren't enough agents left to do the arresting? |

Never happen here, too many soft people with big mouths and obsessed with virtue signalling to allow any form of stricter control's in place.
Just look at the controversy caused by the Rwanda plan, also Bibbi Stockholm.
If we had ships in place in the channel turning back boats people would lose their shit.
Instead we welcome everyone arms and wallets open ready to help thousands of people apparently fleeing persecution.
Whilst humanity and compassion is important it's not currently sustainable! |

This quote and the other post stating concern on President Trump's cutbacks are both unfounded and continue to spur on misinformation.
The only hostile environments are the ones created by the left wing protestors. Burning Tesla cars and charging stations, protesting President Trump, and just being obnoxious adults acting like little
Children.
No cutbacks on Border Patrol personnel at the border. No hostile people getting in the faces of illegal immigrants.
Just good policies by strong leadership. Good luck with your starmer and the other clowns perpetuating the fall of England while you all sit on your hands. |

The number of security personnel at the border has increased, both in the US and Mexico. |

I don't know why the other poster thinks that but I'll give my take on it.
The left have always pushed an internationalist agenda and mass immigration, among other left wing causes, (re-writing history for example) waters down the nation state.
They disguise it as compassion and truth but it's nothing of the sort.
Only the useful idiots (of which there are many) believe that. |

They can get in by other means, traffickers already established in the US can ship them in by air road and sea, getting over the border by foot is a decoy.
While border force is focusing on the border itself, they can get flown in, or come via Canada, around via the coast.
The drug cartels are bigger than they think. The people smugglers are bigger than they think and some are American citizens.
Cheap labour is the driving force.
