I cringe at the talk of him being such a deal maker
He had schmucks pay debts off, who'd given too much leeway for failed businesses. He seemed to not pay suppliers, which is just being unscrupulous, not a good businessman |

Putin is ex KGB he would know how to play trump like the buffoon he is! Putin will have gained land it will go quiet for a few years to allow Russia to rearm and replace the troops lost then Putin will start the circle again. |

Grump just looks more and more of a weak cheeseburger eating surrender monkey as time goes on. it's becoming increasingly evident that owing to his predictable petulance the worlds leaders are finding it more and more easy to play him like cheap fiddle. one or two carefully chosen words sends him into a meltdown, which puts him into a pliable state meaning you don't need any kind of agreement from him to achieve your aims; just ignore him so he craves your attention and then when you engage, just demand the opposite of what you really want and he'll comply thinking he's spiting you. |

ukraine are not in a position to demand anything in talks, you may not like it but they are losing, they can fight on and keep losing more and more men but its not going to change the fact they never were going to come out of this on top. Should of taken the deal that was offerd 3years ago and not listend to boris "honest" johnson and senile joe, as always in war in the losing position you really dont have much negotiating power |

How has Trump been played by Putin? Not likely but actual, baring in mind Trump has no say in what Ukraine decide to do.
He has made a decision from a US budgetary position, and he made that clear before he was elected.

How has Trump been played by Putin? Not likely but actual, baring in mind Trump has no say in what Ukraine decide to do.
He has made a decision from a US budgetary position, and he made that clear before he was elected.

Europes had three years to sort this mess out, bowing to Putins hollow nuclear threats while Ukrainians losing their lives.
As for the USA they ran away from the Taliban and now Ukraine it seems.

The pattern is always the same. Iraq. Afghanistan. Libya. Syria. Now Ukraine.
Something kicks off somewhere. The US backed by its UK and EU lapdogs declares the problem to be an existential fight between good and evil, one party is “another Hitler”, if we don’t get involved World War Three will break out.
Things get bogged down, it’s not as simple as in the movies. The US government and electorate gets bored and moves on. The UK and EU end up looking stupid.
Just amazes me that anyone is surprised by what’s happening. Maybe they should stop watching the BBC. |

Yes but also on the subject of "reap what you sow"
This whole shit show started in November 2013 with what was known as the "Maidan" revolution.
Egged on by the EU (I can remember Guy Verhofstadt and the ridiculous Kathy Ashton rabble rousing in Kyiv promising all sorts of goodies including EU membership) the pro Russian Yanukovych was deposed and within weeks (surprise surprise) Moscow annexed the Crimea.
That little series of events has been well and truly swept under the Brussels carpet.

I would agree that he has showed up the weakness in western Europe but not sure about buying time.
If anything he has wasted 3 years, sacrificed a million troops, lost incalculable amounts of equipment, caused NATO to expand (Sweden/Finland) and given the west a wake up call.
When it comes to buying time he's worse than Man Utd at buying players. |

Agree with the latter 
I meant when I said buying time that he delayed by bluster and threats the kit they should have been given and trained upon as soon as he invaded when the situation allowed..
He cares not about lives,he's kept the middle class kids in Moscow and St Petersburg etc far away and used the outer reaches of the union plus Mercs and the Koreans as fodder, standard old school soviet doctrine..
And yes, strategically from a defence capacity kit wise they are weak but they are re arming and developing at a much faster rate which to my mind says he still thinks he can advance west..
We the west need to up our game, better to be prepared and have the resources than the other options should we need them.. |

If Putin does not get what he demands what is Trump going to do about it? He has no card to play, if he gives Ukraine weapons then Putin will use it as legitimacy to attack the west.
