Just seen a report of Donald Trump claiming the fall of Bashar al Assad was a unfriendly takeover orchestrated by Turkey. Is he right or wrong?

A huge oversimplification, but on the whole, it's kind of correct(ish). Turkey is now the most powerful backer in Syria, whereas it used to be Iran/Russia (each in very different ways, with different aims).
