Who else also think it is about time ukraine can use the weapons to strike further into russia too? I think that they should of been granted it since the start of it, with two months left in office, biden finally gives green light for ukraine to strike russia with long range us missiles.
I dont see any problems with this, especially as putin is using iranian missiles and north korean troops, so why cant ukraine use the help from west one can wonder.
What is your view about it and the green light from biden and the right to defend themselves? I agree with others that we are in the end stages of the war. |

Ukraine has the absolute right to defend itself, even through long range attacks on it's aggressor (Russia). But whether that is good for the rest of us is questionable. It could escalate into WWIII or worse still a nuclear war. If that happens we'll have a lot bigger issues to fret about than Winter fuel allowances and inheritance tax. |

Have they though? NATO has shown restraint in the face of an unpredictable aggressor. The organisation has expanded by 2 members and most existing members have pledged increase defence expenditure. Inexplicably, the UK seems to be winding-down it's defence capabilities at a time of enhanced threats. |

I thought Russia also signed an agreement not to attack/invade Ukraine upon the disposal of the nuclear weapons left over in Ukraine after the fall of the USSR |

Yes, it seems like that too and the war only escalates when ukraine defend themselves, not when russia attack, strange isnt it. |

I don’t think anyone is stopping Ukraine from fighting back with whatever weapons it has in its own arsenal.
I appreciate that it might be in Ukraine’s existential interest to drag other countries into WW3, but unfortunately for them nobody else wants to get too involved. |

In the beginning "we" the UK trained 600 Ukrainians every 3 months.
600 would fly over to the UK for intense military training, today it's only 200 every 3 months and this is due to the number of losses on the battlefield.
Men of fighting age are seriously being reduced due to fatalities and injury.
The British army continues to train Ukrainians in the art of war. |

I think harder more decisive should have been taken after the first month.
Whilst nobody wants a war, you go to war when you have to.
Effecively, the world has stood by and watched, allowing this invasion to happen, the response has been to piss about, supply arms/training and not a lot else.
I was shocked, prior to the invasion, at world leaders going to Russia to try and convince Putin that invading was not a good idea, Johnson was one of those. Not only did it not stop the invasion, it made other world leaders look weak and submissive.
Lack of action has simply shown that Russia is the military powerhouse, not the USA or UK.
Ukraine needs to take back control of Crimea and other land that's been invaded.
You can't take what belongs to someone else without repercussions.
