Well after a quick look,
Ukraine just hit Russia with a long range US made Missile, and as of 17 hours ago the UK are set to give them their version of said missile, so if Putin isn't all talk and he lowers the setpoint for launching then we are all ffked here,
Considering the Russians have already shared what they have in mind for the UK.and by default Ireland sinks with her. |

Tbh I think nuclear weapons are a deterrent always have been always will be. If one set go up then the action will be retaliatory and once they have done their job there won’t be much to govern or people to trade with |

WW3 was supposed to happen 3 years ago. I think it could happen should Trump pull out of Nato as it'd leave limited option for Europe to defend Ukraine without going in and defending Euro security swiftly. If Ukraine falls, Europe is on alert for years to come, so maybe what Trump does in January is of more consequence. There will have to be plans if not close door discussions happening. |

When these long range missiles start to fall behind Russian lines, they might well begin hostilities towards the US and UK. I hope not, but they have already stated that supplying the Ukrainians with these weapons would be an ‘act of war.’ So don’t be surprised when the shit hits the fan. |

So.... they have supplied the Ukrainians with Atacams and Storm Shadow's for what, a year or more and there's been no shit fan hitting or WW3. What they have said "it could be seen as justification" and "could provoke" and "possibly be seen as", so hyping it up leads nowhere. Russia and Putin will do what they want no matter if there's a war or not. They'll off someone in a foreign land, blow up a plane, cut some internet cable or pipe line - they have reasonably failed in this war by any measure. Time, resources spent, casualty rates, financing, global support, even face - a superpower without an effective military. |

Well the one thing these world leaders love more than word's is money and Putin loooovvees money and a war would put a dent in his finances.
But conventional weapons mean spending and dividends for shareholders which I've no doubt that Putin, Trump,Biden.....
Are all shareholders in major weapons manufacturers. |

Putin knows that he can’t reasonably claim that using Iranian and North Korean weapons to hit civilian targets in Ukraine and now using North Korean soldiers on the battlefield is not an escalation, but Ukraine defending themselves by hitting military targets in Russia is an escalation.
Ukraine should have been given these weapons unconditionally in the first place. |

Sweden's 'Doomsday Prep for Dummies' guide hits mailboxes today
This is no joke, it was mailed to everyone.
If you are aged between 16 - 70 yes you will be expected to serve
Total defence duty From the year you turn 16 until the end of the year you turn 70, you are part of Sweden’s total defence and required to serve in the event of war or the threat of war. Total defence duty applies to all Swedish citizens living in Sweden or abroad. Total defence duty also applies to foreign nationals residing in Sweden. Total defence duty consists of: •Military or civil defence service. During a heightened state of alert, you are to proceed immediately to the place you have been designated in your wartime posting. •General national service. If the Swedish government activates general national service, you are to remain at work or carry out other tasks in support of Sweden’s total defence system. During a heightened state of alert, go to work as usual unless you are assigned a specific wartime posting.

So if Ukraine goes Ruski, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Moldova will likely go.
It'll mean Russia is with fucknuts Belarus has border with Poland. As Hungry is pro Russia and Slovakia doesn't really like the EU if pushed it wouldn't take much persuasion. The far right is gaining traction in Germany, so politically there's a lot of instability that could spread very quickly.
That aside, Ukraine was known as the bread basket of Europe, as the largest exporter of wheat, it also has has huge reserves of metals - copper, iron. It was originally thought the war was due to the cost of Russia transporting oil and gas across Ukraine, by ceasing the land it wouldn't have to pay it.
Why would people defend the land of others? All things weighed, Democratic freedom v's autocracy I suppose. |

Yes he does and that in itself is worrying.
Putin is over 70 and, if you believe some of the reports, not in great health.
When Hitler knew the end was coming he set out to take the rest of Germany (or as many as he could) with him.
Had he had one Hitler would have certainly pressed the button in those last days and to hell with the consequences, thankfully he didn't have that option.
Putin's age, health and paranoia could have a big part to play. |

Yes I do know the difference but I think you are being a bit pedantic on his choice of words. Elected/inaugurated, it's very easy to pick the wrong word in the middle of a rally.
He knows and anybody with a modicum of intelligence would also know that he can't do anything until after 20th January.
To be honest I don't actually know which word he used, maybe he even said "when I become president" but who really cares?

To be honest I think he was an awful choice as president. For me his only redeeming feature was that he wasn't Kamala Harris who I think would have been 10 times worse. Certainly on the subject of Ukraine.

Putin is mostly just talking and he knows how to get much of what he wants from the West and other countries. He'll tinker and make noise and Trump will probably largely force Ukraine to dispense some of its sovereign rights, so that he can brag, without him doing or losing anything. It will be so wrong if this happens but I'm assuming that's what he'll force, following him being spoon fed by Putin. So WW3 unlikely from this |

Trump and Putin's wishes align perfectly here. Putin wants an end to the costly "special military operation" with a big win of Ukrainian territory and minimum repercussions for Russia's aggression.
Trump wants to be know as the President who stopped WW3. So Putin will continue with the war stories and Trump pretending to play hard ball about fixing the peace. |

The US funds the entire Ukraine state, not just its military. Without US aid Ukraine will collapse.
What happens if Trump forces Ukraine to do a deal? It may suit Zelensky as he needs a way out. There is no way he can win this war. He’s running out of men and sooner or later the West will get bored of it all.
But will the neo Nazis in the Ukrainian military accept any compromise with Russia? What happens if they don’t? Civil war in Ukraine? |
