My state pension will be £35,809 and a pint will cost £16.16 which means I can have 6 pints a day (if I have no other outgoings)
Compared to a 100 year old today , who can only afford 5 pints a day that looks like things are better to me  |

I imagine by then that almost all of whatever income you have will be taken in taxes and energy costs.
A pint of beer will probably be an annual treat, if you can still buy it legally and there are any pubs still open. |
