She was Kiers biggest threat. She knows the dirty stuff about him. She could have been a contender for leader should he fail and get ousted, party loses confidence in him.
She was a key figure in taking down Boris. Paving the way for Labour to win the election. A stepping stone.
Now he has eliminated that threat.
More sinister than a spy thriller.
As deviant as fascist dictator.
I don't trust him.

I’d like to think that her departure will save the taxpayer some money, but no doubt there will be a massive pay off, and before long she will resurface at the head of another government funded quango, charity or university.

As an ex-Civil Servant who had a significant role with regards to the last governments downfall it was improper of her to accept a role in any replacement regime. She has probably made a nice wedge out if this, will no doubt receive a big payoff and will shortly be on the talk show circuit. Shameful. |

"At least she got her son a well paid government job and probably some free clothes before she left.
I hope so, she did a great job for labour
What an interesting perspective - it says a lot."
It’s the way of the world, people who have done far less have been given Dame hoods and peerages |

This is true.
Acknowledging an unpalatable fact and hoping for it are different beasts. |

"She did a great job and helped labour win a huge majority at the last election
So why did Keir sack her? Doesn't he want good people in his government?"
She had her uses, no longer needed, that’s politics |

So you're saying that I shouldn't trust Keir Starmer because he's ruthless and will renage on a promise if he thinks it will get him more votes.
Got it. |

The opposite, when a job needs doing he hires the best people, the gets rid when no longer needed, it’s politics |

Yes, that's what I said. Hire someone into a position where they can get fulfillment by doing a good job, then get rid of them when he thinks he's squeezed enough value out of them. |
