Where did all the Democrat voter's go?

And why did they abandon their party?

Was it Kamala's fault? Bidens?

I'm very curious to see the overall voter turnout

I think 2020 had a very high voter turnout, so did people not turn up as much this time?

If so why the apathy?

Same as here. Two uninspiring candidates and a lack of belief that anything will change so why bother getting off the couch and walking down to the polling station.

Maybe Harris's enthusiasm for getting as many bombs dropped on Palestine as possible kept some of their usual supporters at home?

Potentially

I think the yanks are so attached to their 2 party system (which is like asking which side of the hand do you want to get smacked with, front or back) that it's easy to forget other parties exist

A shame really, as a voter you'd surely prefer a diverse choice

Stein only had half a million, nothing really

Looks like the democrats lost about 11 - 12 million votes from 2020 which is a massive condemnation of Bidens administration

It doesn't look like they've voted republican either, they've just not bothered voting

Win the white house, eon the senate and looks on course to win the house too

Until the midterms it looks like he'll have free reign to pass whatever

I'm positive Dems will impeach on or as near to day 1 to try and impede the will of the republican administration

Possibly not. There’s a video doing the rounds on Youtube with the mand-child Owen Jones at a Harriss rally doing a vox-pop and he baited a few of his interviewees on the Palestine issue and none of the people he spoke to shared his world view, and one of them told him she thought Hamas were to blame which caused him to have a little meltdown. Bless.

Probably not indicative of how everyone in the Democrat camp thinks but possibly a good indicator that irrespective of political view it’s not seen as a binary issue over there.

"Apparently the female vote for Dems fell from 2020, as did black and especially Latino vote. "

The woke behaviour of pretending to be a saviour and patronising minorities only attracts some people from minorities. But for anyone with a modicum of self respect, this behaviour is off-putting. The dems have been using lines like "If you are black, you must...." Same with Latin people.

And the Dems views on Gender didn't go down well with these communities either, the majority of whom are religious.

People like him probably interview loads of people and then pick the ones with the biggest impact for click bait.

I have numerous friends living in California. The way gender issues have been handled in schools in California has genuinely scared many parents. They are mostly left leaning by the way. The rest of the country is wary of what's happening in California.

They are not made up issues. As I mentioned before, economy did play a role. But black people and latin people voting for Republican party is mostly down to social issues. Even in the last election, Trump managed to garner more Latin American votes than expected in spite of Dems trying to portray Trump as their enemy.

This might come as surprise. But not everyone build their lives purely around money.

And the Dems views on Gender didn't go down well with these communities either, the majority of whom are religious.

Rubbish, they lost because of the economy

Economy did play a role. I am answering why there was a shift in black and Latin voters. Both can be true.

If the economy was performing better, if people felt better off then the dems would have won, these made up woke issues aren’t important when compared with the economy

How many friends do you have in California ?

Pretty much half of my university classmates are living there. And California has been used as an example of Democrat governance in the election by Trump campaign.

20 people?

They told me the problem with how gender issues are handled in schools. I don't have a reason to think they are lying.."

But you only know 20 people where as MrTastic knows everyone in America. Duh!!

That's not the point though? California's way of handling gender issues is problematic. And I can see why parents are concerned. It wouldn't be hard for the rest of the Americans to notice this.

People went away from the Harris to Trump because of the economy, crime and immigration and nothing else as Trump increases his vote in young Black,Latino and White males, the democrats campaigned to heavily on policies which didnt appeal to the majority, also sexuality i don't believe is a factor as i have to gay friends who live in wisconsin and both voted for Trump it seems from results he must have got some of the LBQT votes aswell(not sure if they ever publish these statistics like they do the others)

Why are people surprised that minority groups also vote against their own interests?

The woke behaviour of pretending to be a saviour and patronising minorities only attracts some people from minorities. But for anyone with a modicum of self respect, this behaviour is off-putting. The dems have been using lines like "If you are black, you must...." Same with Latin people.

And the Dems views on Gender didn't go down well with these communities either, the majority of whom are religious.

Rubbish, they lost because of the economy

Economy did play a role. I am answering why there was a shift in black and Latin voters. Both can be true.

If the economy was performing better, if people felt better off then the dems would have won, these made up woke issues aren’t important when compared with the economy

How many friends do you have in California ?

Pretty much half of my university classmates are living there. And California has been used as an example of Democrat governance in the election by Trump campaign.

20 people?

They told me the problem with how gender issues are handled in schools. I don't have a reason to think they are lying..

But you only know 20 people where as MrTastic knows everyone in America. Duh!!

Who? 20 out of 165 million is hardly a majority

Extrapolate the data. That's how you come up with polls

From 20 people, look at the real polls, and see why people voted for Trump

What data do you have to prove that it's all because of economy?

It was the number one reason people voted for trump, Google it if you don’t believe me "

I couldn't find any reasonable source for that. Most are just speculations. And there is nothing that says why Black and Latin Americans voted Republican.

Ah the good old "their own interests" nonsense. This arrogance of the left pretending like you know what everyone else wants is the reason why many people hate the left. Maybe developing some humility and actually talking to people will help?

People know what their interests are and voted based on the interests.

I never said that's the case. I am saying that people care about multiple issues. Pretending like economy is the only issue based on which people vote is foolish.

Exactly i don't think orientation comes into it i just think it was a poor campaign and people wanted change as what they had for last 4 years wasn't for them and they felt let down.

I think this is where Starmer did well before the elections. Labour under Corbyn was looking down at the working class and used statements about voting against "their own interests" to patronise them.

Starmer at least tried talking to the working class. He built his policies around immigration based on that and stayed as far away as possible from IDPol issues in his manifesto. This is how you win elections. By talking to people and understanding them. Whether they follow up on this after elections is a whole different issue though.

I'll judge them in 2029. In my very long adult life I have voted Labour, Lib Dem, hell even Tory once. So I'm not particularly wedded to any party.

well one of the reasons why they voted for Trump was because most of them didn't feel their standard of living was improving with the cost of living and inflation in America

Yes the economy is the biggest reason they voted for Trump.

Harris had been in charge of the economy for four years. Difficult to see how any one else could be to blame.

What have my opinions on their reasons for voting got to do with anything?

I'll ask again. How do you think that 1 person saying that black and Latin-American voters care about the economy, "proves" your theory that the economy was the most important consideration in those voters' minds?

Exactly. They ignored the available information and voted for someone who sexually abuses women and commits fraud instead.

"Black and Latin Americans don’t care about the economy

Actually they do

My apologies, it was meant to be a question? It also proves my point that the economy was the biggest reason they voted trump

It does?

One person on a swingers forum says that black and Latin-American voters care about the economy, and you call that proof?

Do they care about the economy? Is the economy the biggest reason people voted for Trump?

Yes the economy is the biggest reason they voted for Trump.

Harris had been in charge of the economy for four years. Difficult to see how any one else could be to blame.

Biden was in charge, but you are right, the dems are to blame "

You think Biden has been in charge for the last four years?

In between lying on the beach, pushing his son’s latest grift, and sniffing young girls’ hair?

"Where did all the Democrat voter's go?

And why did they abandon their party?

Was it Kamala's fault? Bidens? "

Maybe it was their policies and the direction the USA was going in that people didn't like?

"I'll ask again. How do you think that 1 person saying that black and Latin-American voters care about the economy, "proves" your theory that the economy was the most important consideration in those voters' minds?"

"Try Google , all will be revealed"

"Google will contain an analysis of why you think 1 person agreeing with you proves that you're right?"

"No, it will tell you why the majority of people voted fir trump, it’s a really good tool to get information "

But I'm not asking why people voted for Trump.

I'm asking you why you think that a single person agreeing with you 'proves' that you are right.

It certainly wasn’t Kamala in charge

Perhaps you should use Google to find out what I'm on about, since you seem incapable of reading your own posts.

Do they care about the economy? Is the economy the biggest reason people voted for Trump? well one of the reasons why they voted for Trump was because most of them didn't feel their standard of living was improving with the cost of living and inflation in America

Exactly. They ignored the available information and voted for someone who sexually abuses women and commits fraud instead.

This is exactly my argument."

Where's your prove that he abused women? Yes there's accusations that he did but until I see any tangible proof his innocent until proven guilty

I've answered this question multiple times.

He sexually abused E. Jean Carroll. There was a court case. He did it. You can read up about it anywhere you choose.

Crewe

In Trump’s first term inflation averaged around 7% and wage growth was around 15% . Under Bidens term yes wage growth was higher at a little over 20% but inflation averaged 19%. So yes their wages went up but they had less left in their pockets at the end of the month.

This. You can look up E. jean Carroll's interview with Anderson Cooper on YouTube, it's informative if you don't know a lot on the case

"Was trump found guilty?"

"In the civil case, yes"

You can't be found guilty in civil cases, you can only be guilty of a crime.

Trump was found to have most likely perpetrated a sexual assault on the woman, to the extent that he was found liable for compensation.

"Apparently the female vote for Dems fell from 2020, as did black and especially Latino vote.

How many friends do you have in California ? "

Haha.

Lived and worked in California for many years, then Texas and Atlanta.

Lovely people but all so very, very, very different.

Not all quite the urbane, sophisticates you see on TV.

Doesn't seem good enough for some people.

I wouldn't trust him to be left alone in a room with his own daughter (who he said he would date).
