" Please inform yourself about the real circumstances of "Biden's" withdrawal from Afghanistan. This was set up by Trump. Biden did what he could but, with the US troop numbers being reduced below a viable level in the last weeks of Trump's first presidency, it was a shit show fait acomplis. Trump will tell Ukraine to hand over all the land, including Crimea, to Russia. He will withdraw the USA's military and financial support for Ukraine within hours of taking office. Russia will roll up to the old soviet borders. The safety of Europe will then be in the hands of the EU alone as Trump withdraws the USA from NATO. | |||

US citizens clearly expressed a preference for policies that meet their own priorities, not ours or those of other countries. They want less spending on overseas wars and tighter controls on illegal immigration, including deportation of people in the country illegally. They want better control of inflation and a reduction in high living costs, voters want an economy that works better for them and fewer tax $$$ going to foreign problems. This isn’t them being selfish it’s about self preservation and stability. The Democrats failed because they assumed that just being “not Trump” was enough. They attacked him on a personal level, and that deepened divisions. She was unable/unwilling to distance her political thinking from Biden's. 2. Trump had greater traction with Hispanic and conservative black voters who tend to subscribe to patriarchal doctrines. The fact Harris is black had less traction with these communities than the negative implications of her being female. 3. She was late to the party. 4. Trumps fear agenda appealed to voters who had concerns (real or otherwise) about immigration, the cost of living etc. | |||

They lost sight of the mood of the people, they attacked Trump and his followers with the same language they argued was why Trump shouldn’t be taken seriously, and wheeled out celebs who banged the drum for women to vote and not tell their husbands who they voted for, totally isolating male voters and in my opinion treating women as though they couldn’t think for themselves… It was a car crash election campaign.
