He was serving a two year and eight months prison term after being jailed in August. The Prisons and Probation Ombudsman (PPO) is now carrying out an independent investigation into his death.
Lynch, who had diabetes, thyroid issues and angina, and recently suffered a heart attack, was put behind bars for screaming at police outside a hotel in Rotherham housing asylum seekers.
The grandfather, who was described as a conspiracy theorist, went to the Holiday Inn Express in Manvers on August 4 waving a placard which accused police officers, MPs, Nasa, and the Environment Agency of being 'corrupt'.
During his sentencing on August 22, Lynch, who was called a 'family man', pleaded guilty to violent disorder after he shouted 'racist and provocative remarks' towards police and called asylum seekers 'child killers'.
Rip sad times, as seems he wasn't in good health. Though sentence to over 2 years for a placard and shouting, whilst sex offenders get suspended sentence or less ... shakes head |

"Sympathies are quite low here.... If you don't want to do the time don't do the crime.
Holding a placard and shouting? "
If you or I were shouting what he was at that time in that place plus calling the police who were trying their best to prevent a potentially life threatening situation from taking place whilst being attacked 'scum'..
We would rightly be held to account..
Is that your whole point ?
That such actions are ok because there are faults within the justice system..? |

He wasn't there picking up litter was he? Maybe it was the waving a plackard and shouting (and I'm going to guess threats or some vile racist abuse)
"
How do you know he was personally involved with them?"

He was there, participating in the race hate protest, with the people who were trying to burn and kill children. Not sure what else to say. |

Peter lynch held a sign and was guilty of saying some unsavoury things.
I've been through the left wing media and not one of them quote any racial language, although they say he used 'racist and provocative language towards police'
He got nearly 3 years for this, supposedly reduced for a guilty plea |

Ahh I see, so if anyone attends a demonstration then they are at fault for anything that happens, guilt by association? |

Frankly your post is offensive to anyone with a sense of reality and abidance with common law. Regardless of the individuals demise in prison he was prosecuted on the basis of being a participant in a riot, and in his case, attempting to influence others to attack asylum seekers in a Sheffield hotel. Further, the fact he was a grandfather asks some far deeper and searching questions about his character and the impact of his actions on his descendants and other family members. |

Not sure how you've drawn this bizarre conclusion.
I commented on the irony of his words, meanwhile his fellow race hate protestors, whom he was standing in solidarity with, we're actively trying to burn down a hotel with kids inside. |

Fair enough, but there is a valid doubt whether sentencing of the rioters has been fair and consistent with others committing similar crimes. Was the extent and harshness of justice unduly politically motivated? There has been almost zero debate about the underlying causes behind the riots, the response being just 'lock 'em up'. |

"It’s amazing how many people seem to have been accidentally caught up in riots."
And yet screaming “from the river to the sea” whch is a call for a genocide of the Jews and the iradication if Israel gets you a free pass. Funny how that 2 tier policing with fear and favour seems to understand how it is that these things simply just sweep along the purely innocent and uninvolved citizens of the fashionable left. Not that these “activists” end up in front of the courts, but I’m sure if they did, they wouldn’t be getting 2 1/2 years for saying hurty words. |

I agree, there is more than a sniff of dual sentencing policy here. Whatever their crimes, that's not a good thing. |

There are unequivocal differences between chanting and protesting for Israel’s destruction on the streets of the Uk versus inciting, encouraging and participating in riots with immediate intent to cause damage and potential harm to others.
Frankly the selective evidence to nurture this playground argument is stunning in its ignorance and stupidity.
And for the record I have no personal desire to stop ANY protest marches for whatever persuasion of argument anyone might have. I do however have a major problem with brainwashed and irrational people destroying property and attacking others who possess no means of defending themselves other than to rely on the police or other security services. |

What do you think chanting for Israel's destruction is?
I'm pretty sure that's INCITING and ENCOURAGING violence, unless of course you think you can destroy Israel without violence? |

Your point is lost in its obliqueness and irrelevance, further I have already stated my neutrality to protesting whatever the standpoint, which includes race and political leaning. |

I think it would be extremely difficult to argue away how the government fast tracked those people who pleaded guilty into prison.
I’ve not seen this happen in my lifetime and it angers me greatly that our system can work quickly when it chooses, I really thought it only had one speed s l o w |

Because riots were in danger of spreading throughout the country. Online agitators from within this country and abroad were spreading false propaganda.Solicitor’s offices were being targeted. It needed stopping in its tracks and fast.

This..
It happened during and after the 2011 riots also..
I don't want those whose hobbit is to protect us, the State and police to fuck about with such situations..
It was right to use the sentences meter out as a deterrent..
It worked.. |

It's an expression, it fits. There was a relatively small group at this incident.

3 points.
1. No
2. This is what you guys usually try to make out though.
3. How is this related to the point being made?

Again, as per usual most are missing the point ...
A person was fast tracked jailed, for showing a placard and shouting, if it was racist? Who knows...
Then consider, child abusers rarely get that sentence, never mind domestic abuse or worse (after waiting for 2 years to actually get to court)
As pointed out, can scream against our troops on the streets of this country, or protest with violence, see Birmingham in previous posts and the law says .. nothing to see here.
Then today, thousands of prisoners are to be released including drug dealers back on the streets.
Corruption in this country is rife and knows no bounds |

I think his and everyone's best way to not get caught up in this would be not to attend in the first place. However that would dissuade legitimate protesters from any protest for fear of being jailed so it's a difficult balancing act. From the footage I have seen he shouted 'scum'. Not sure if that was at the police or any asylum seekers. Unfortunately being in the protest seems to mean you are guilty by association to activities others perform. Anyway the police and courts deemed his actions worthy of prison and in a very speedy way. The same police and courts (if it went that far) did not come to the same conclusion for the guy that said the protesters should have their throats cut to the cheers of those around him. |

Hopefully he will get a long sentence. If he is taking this through the courts and found guilty then it should be a long sentence especially considering he said people should have their throats cut which in my opinion is worse than shouting the word scum. Or maybe it will be different for him. Possibly depends which tier he falls under in two tier kier land |

Let’s be clear, get them all - the race baiters and the river to the sea lot in front of the courts with the same rapidity and the same severity and we are all good. But the government wanted to send a message about both where it’s sympathies lie (with the popular left wing causes) and the extent to which it will crack down on anyone that dissents from its world view and gaslighting on the issue of tackling immiigration. What would be the benefit of rapidly bringing non-racist, non-violent protestors to the courts rapidly?
And "same severity" would be good, remember the peaceful climate protesters that got upto 5 years. Ridiculous.

Would you prefer the government to come down on the side of violent race-hate instead?
(Also, lots of centrists and right wingers are also not racist, implying only "left wing" people oppose racism is pretty silly).

Not that these “activists” end up in front of the courts, but I’m sure if they did, they wouldn’t be getting 2 1/2 years for saying hurty words.
Were there fellow protesters in the process of trying to burn down a hotel with families inside when they were shouting “ hurty words “
I don't remember these people complaining about "two tier policing" when non-racists were getting locked up for protesting.
Yet those participating in violent race-hate riots get a lot of their sympathy.
Let’s be clear, get them all - the race baiters and the river to the sea lot in front of the courts with the same rapidity and the same severity and we are all good.
What would be the benefit of rapidly bringing non-racist, non-violent protestors to the courts rapidly?
And "same severity" would be good, remember the peaceful climate protesters that got upto 5 years. Ridiculous.
But the government wanted to send a message about both where it’s sympathies lie (with the popular left wing causes)
Would you prefer the government to come down on the side of violent race-hate instead?
(Also, lots of centrists and right wingers are also not racist, implying only "left wing" people oppose racism is pretty silly).
and the extent to which it will crack down on anyone that dissents from its world view and gaslighting on the issue of tackling immiigration. Move along, nothing to see, and if you say what yuouy see expect to be sent to the ghulags. Stalinist wankholes.
Are you attempting to link rioting racists with "the issue of tackling immigration"? Just plain bizarre."
Non racist? Are you actually serious? From the river to the sea is a call for anti-semetic genocide of the Jews. These are the same people who include those who hold abhorrent views denying that 7th Oct actually happened.
So are you saying that it’s OK to openly call for the irradication of an entire nation state and the Jewish people? There was someone else who held those views 90 years ago and look how that turned out?
So yes, I would prosecute them.
Peaceful climate protestors? You mean the ones who blocked roads and wouldn’t let ambulances past? How about the people who missed cancer treatment as a result of their “protests”? Protesting is one thing but these people are little more than domestic terrorists using means other than explosives to further their cultish cause (and they are a cult) which is as much about the demolition of the apparatus of state and the economy as it is about the polar bears and penguins they are just doing it via proxy means.
5 years? About right. |

Fair play, so you are in favour of two tier justice, lighter sentences for violent racists and harsher sentences for peaceful climate protesters. Fair play to you on your honesty. |

Ah no, we’re not bat to pretending that the eco-terrorists are “peaceful” protestors, are we?
Their aims to incapacitate roads and transport systems are extremely dangerous and could cost lives. |

The 2011 English riots resulted in harsh sentences for the rioters, with the average custodial sentence being more than four times the average for similar offenses in 2010:
I wonder how many of the posters, calling the sentences for this year's riots too harsh, were also calling those sentences too harsh and politically motivated. |

True, and in both cases it stopped any further riots |

Meanwhile race hate rioters who were actually violent, in reality, got lesser sentences.
Two tier justice system in action. |
