Obviously tragic but have you seen the bodycam coverage with the failure to adhere to the requests to stop, followed by the car being used potentially (live situation....from a reasonable perspective endorsed by the jury decision) as a lethal ramming weapon against officers on foot?
I am willing to bet that you have never made a life/death decision in a potential combat zone. Perhaps in a live situation, there should be a focus group discussing the merits of when to take action, overseen by a judicial overseer?
If you can suggest a realistic operational improvement to the training and terms of reference, then we are all ears. |

Just seen the footage and I'm even more comfortable with this. As for the accusations of racism against the police.... ridiculous. If the police tell you to stop, you stop. You certainly don't run or, in this case, attempt to barge your way out in a vehicle. If he'd done as he was told, he'd probably be alive today |

Sky news online have this morning published the material that was disclosed in a closed court (without jury present so as not to influence).. interesting read..and also interesting how his family tried to block the release 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Still always a tragic loss of life , and remember, that officer will also have to live with issues caused by this..but should never have been a murder trail..

The people who wanted him to be found guilty will probably attempt to appeal this decision. They feel entitled to drive this officer through the coals again and again. The CPS should not allow their appeal. They have had their day in court. |

There was thread's on this very forum previously saying that the policeman was racist and he was only shot due to his colour.
I think it seems he was shot because of the lifestyle he chose to lead.
Regardless of colour you are involved in guns a d weapon's for criminal reasons then expect the most severe consequences if you get caught. |

My understanding of the shooting of Chris Kaba is he was behind the wheel of a car that was used as a getaway car in a gang related shooting the night before.The police boxed it in but Chris Kaba used it as a battering ram.If this is correct then the police didn’t do that much wrong.If you are innocent why use your car as a battering ram.Do exactly as the police say come out of the car with your hands up.Then when you are interviewed by the police give the your story if true and everything checks out then you are free to go. |

He was a father to be.....but it wasn't mentioned that he was forbidden to contact the woman due to a court order against him due to domestic violence.
There was also residue of firearms discharge on his clothing, consistent with him performing a shot (as opposed to being shot), which was possibly related to a previous incident.
Nobody deserves to die but he was no innocent passer by.
Now there's apparently a £10,000 bounty on the head of the officer so the taxpayer will have to fork out a fortune for relocation of him and his family.
Nobody is above the law but based on the evidence that was submitted (and not the character material that came out post trial), should the CPS decision to prosecute be independently reviewed? |

At a guess they would of been after a large compensation payment hence trying to portray this as an innocent being gunned down. Just shows how callous they are. At the end of the day, if the police say stop, then just stop. I have been stopped on several occasions but it's never been a problem if you have done nothing wrong. |

The key to understanding how non-racists think, is to focus on what the person is doing, and not on their ethnicity.
IE, if someone is participating in a racially motivated violent riot. You can judge them on their actions. The rioter's skin colour/ethnicity/country of origin is not a factor.

Correct about his character.
But how his demise came about, stinks.
Set up by his mate, a Police Informer.
They knew every move he would make before Duggan did. He was sent to pick up the gun by the Informer, who then told the police what Duggan was doing.
C**ts trick. Set someone up to commit a crime, then tell the police, as if you have heard about it and have no involvement in it yourself, they then in turn a blind eye to your activities as your worth as a grass is best served with you about and with a finger on the local scums activities. Though this time the person wasnt just arrested but terminated, which was somewhat a flaw in the original plan.

You can't just appeal a verdict because it wasn't what you wanted. That goes for both sides.
There needs to be new compelling evidence, new being the key word or there had to be a judicial fook up during the trial.
So appealing won't be an issue. |

The key to understanding how non-racists think, is to focus on what the person is doing, and not on their ethnicity.
IE, if someone is participating in a racially motivated violent riot. You can judge them on their actions. The rioter's skin colour/ethnicity/country of origin is not a factor.
The key to understanding others who may think differently to you is to understand that not everything is racially motivated.
The 'violent riot' wasn't racially motivated, hence it can't be racist. Just shouting racist at every opportunity makes you as racist as those others you think are racist.
The social media posts referring to a illegal asylum seeker with picture of a black male I think is inciting race hate and division, that took these rioters out on to the streets in the first place."
I agree that post could have incited racially hate and division just as other post could have or did.

We have got a long way off topic here. The thread is about the policeman being acquitted, not any childish ideas that only people of one racial background or another do bad things.

Getting back to the original topic, it’s good that police in this country are held to account when using the lethal forces that they have been given. It is also good that this has followed due process and I personally feel comfortable with the verdict.
I see two bad roads to go down, and this case fits neither scenario .
One is of police had too much backing when using lethal force, something we sometimes see in the US.
And the other would be if police didn’t feel comfortable ever using their weapons, for fear of being charged.
Hopefully this case gives clarity, firstly to police, and secondly to people they stop. |
