According to a Tweet by Bridget Phillipson, private schools don't need astro turf sports pitches.
In something which comes as no shock to anyone, Bridget Phillipson played in hockey game, on an astro turf pitch, owed by a private school, offered by the school as part of their "communities projects"
*read free of charge to the communitee
Her game took place around 5 hours before her tweet was posted.

She is a hypocrite who lacks understanding of the sector or her own flawed policy (or is deliberately ignoring for ideological reasons). |

Or just a catastrophic inability to join the dots?
Can’t get past the “clobber the rich” idea |

"Labour cabinet member in hypocrite shocker….
These clowns just keep shooting themselves in the foot time after time.
I really hoped they’d be better than this.
" really? I always thought they would be just the same as the torys, check in a year and I bet any new contracts handed out all go to donors or friends |

Why when BLiar and his cronies were as bad, if not worse? Money from Ecclestone, dodgy mortgage applications, scandals and hypocracy galore. |

If the Labour party had a coat of arms, then that should be the motto on it |

I know.
I hoped they would be better than this as it is important that the country is run well, and it has real consequences when it isn’t.
But it looks like they are worse than the tories and worse than Blair. Took Blair years to become this unpopular, and he had run away to get rich by then. |

Are there any real politicians left, who's goal is to serve the people who elected them and the country? As opposed to lining their own pockets and fucking everyone else up the arse.
Did they ever exist, or am I remembering with rose tinted glasses? |

Anyone who wants to be a politician should automatically be excluded from the job.
Select random numbers if society in a manner similar to jury selection and have them serve for a 2 year period. No party affiliation but a government of the people for the people.
Any interference from external influences would need to be suppressed. Matters of national importance would be put before the people in the form of a referendum.
The ancient Greeks tried it - they called it democracy. Be nice if we could do something similar. |

Ah, good idea. The men of established wealthy households should get to determine what happens to everyone in the country.
Of course, women, sl@ves and foreigners need not apply. |

If the Conservatives had a coat of arms it would read "Serve the Rich, Shaft the poor". That is politics. |

Select the section that most applies to your bias and then be outraged.
Women and the s-word non voluntary labourers would of course be welcomed! Foreigners not so much as how many foreign elections do we get to vote in? |

If that was true, they would never have been elected. |

Eh, no.
But of a fantasy that the conservatives are the party for rich people. There’s not that many rich people! And quite a few rich people support labour, so that rather pisses in the theory |
