"Tories trying to work out their new leader
Liberals being Liberals
Reform, only a few and very quiet
So where is the opposition? Why do the general public just ... be submissive? "
In fairness parliament has been on recess and note due back untill next week.
Should see some opposition action from then on. The Tories will want to take the lead as they rebuild and choose direction. |

"There will be plenty opposition after the Autumn budget
Tax rises and austerity coming.
Party of doom and gloom. "
I don't see that happening as they will be to concerned about their own interests.
What's more disturbing is the labour mps from the north, who stand by watching the government take the fuel allowance from the elderly... imagine if it was a Tory government who done this? |

If the Tories did it, it would have just be one of the multitude of policies designed to target the most vulnerable people in society.
It's disappointing that Labour have done it, but not entirely unexpected. |

Do you mean like when they reneged on the triple lock due to the financial situation. |

when the current opposition were in power they were extremely weak .... this caused the general public to stop being submissive in july and, metaphorically speaking, told them to 'get te fuck' at the ballot box with such a monumental vote for change it was an extinction level event. basically the conservatives were weak in government and are now impossibly weak in opposition. you've got the government you deserve to be fair. |

Yeah, after years of moaning about austerity from the cheap seats, they’re about to take it up a notch |
