If we found ourselves paying taxes to Russia we’d probably be paying a lot less. Its national debt is way lower."

Farage suggesting Ukraine now concedes a fifth of its territory Russia has annexed. A stronger Russia and weakened to be EU/nato member country.

Against who? With what?
Russia? How? Where?
We have neither the capability nor resources to put more than a brigade overseas let alone supply them.
At sea things are more even, but we are seriously short of reliable frigates, key in what would primarily be a submarine conflict.
In the air? We have 100 Typhoons with aging airframes and 30 F35s. And half of these are in refit. |

Whose to say there isn't a world war going on now.
We have fighting in Ukraine, we are helping.
The middle east is always scrapping, we are involved somewhere there.
Then we have the china issue, I am sure we will get more involved there as well.
Not forgetting Russia flexings its muscles by sailing a sub into Cuba, doing a bit of holidaying in the sun. |

These are dangerous times for sure. But this country is nowhere near ready for any kind of conflict. Our military has been depleted and is only considered strong because of our nuclear capabilities. Our army, navy, and air force are in tatters. We should be spending time rebuilding our forces before even attempting to deploy them. |

Drawing conclusions for the new army recruitment video.
Not one woke mention or person in it.
Part of a scene is helping civilians or possible refugees.
One possible scenario is the armed forces are expecting a conflict in the short to mid term and want individuals who will fight and can be trained to do so, and understand they might be expected to quell unrest within our borders.
This rules out the majority of deeply religious individuals and the woke brigaid.
Having lived in Colchester most of my life, if you dont know it has a large garrison right in the centre and the army is a big part of daily life, it also has the "glass house" all armed forces detention centre. This is the relevent bit. You hear "stories" of squaddies refusing orders on religious grounds from time to time and being court martialed even though it was made Clear that they are expected to carry out orders unless they are illegal or some other very serious reason during basic training or possibly at recruitment.
Or i could be barking up the wrong tree but i doubt it. |
