Perhaps he is standing in the rain in order to "normalise" standing in the rain. It might be the emergence of a trend. And then more people will stand in the rain. Until everyone is standing in the rain.
If I was an umbrella manufacturer, this trend might be of concern. |

And giggle like demented, ill-educated school children. They gave you the word 'optics' to make all those items like 'Oh My God Kate has adjusted her photograph, she's so dishonest' sound like it actually really mattered!

As for “people like you fall for it” ha ha ha ha ha you know nothing about me or what education I have or what I do for a living. You also seem to think if someone makes a commentary on an issue that they believe or subscribe to the thing they are saying! I would hope a graduate would have far more adept critical thinking!
I personally don’t give a damn if Sunak stood in the rain. But in the current world “optics matter” as any PR consultant, media expert or Communications professional will tell you. It doesn’t matter if you or I think that is silly, it is the current reality. Didn’t your degree include a media module? If so then you know this regardless of how much you rail against it!
Sunak’s campaign has been stumbling from one silly decision to another. It makes him and his team look disorganised, uncoordinated, and poor at planning. Not good traits for the PM.
Oh and BTW “it wasn’t raining a few minutes before” LMAO looking out the window is so 20th century. We have weather apps that can give you all the info you need (or look out the window on the other side of No.10 to see if there are clouds incoming!)  |

The point still stands that using [xxx] is better than (xxx) because it cannot be mistaken as being a continuation of your sentence (as you should know).
No you used it because you thought I made a spelling mistake or a typo and wanted to indicate as such (and yes because you thought it made you look clever). However, calling him Sunk was a deliberate choice (albeit childish) as indicated by also calling him Drippy Rishi.
