Rumours all over the place that ickle Rishi is going to announce a July election, later today. Admittedly he still has time to change his mind at least twice but assuming the rumours are true what do you think?

Good idea, bad idea?

Might make sense for the Tories. Inflation on track, economy improving, shares up, pound up ..... could be the right time...or anyway the least worst.

"Big Reform conference announced tomorrow..."

I’d not be shocked if Reform didn’t put up quite as many candidates, especially in Tory marginals.

4th or 11th July makes sense as Rishi can then fuck off to California in time for the new school year in September minimising the impact on his kids education.

He knows he isn't going to be PM after the GE. No other party will support a minority Tory government other than the DUP.

4th of July is the speculation….. which is cool as I have that weekend off in my semi American capacity….

Shame because I was half looking forward to a potential November date where the us elections would be on the Tuesday and the uk election on the Thursday….

Anyway.. if you want the giveaway… when the lecturn comes out, if it does not have the seal on it… he is speaking as the leader of the Conservative and not the prime minister…

Yep.. voting from 7am to 10pm

Also remember for those who didn’t vote or have local elections in May that you will need some sort of photo id to vote…..
