Russia, China, North Korea and Iran are combining either covertly (through supply of intelligence) or overtly (through supply of industrial support, raw materials and weapons) to the extent that they are commonly referred to as the modern day Axis of Evil. Each sharing an ever closer aligned ideology to oppose the West.
With Iran’s direct attack on Israel yesterday and Russian ongoing invasion and recent violent escalation in Ukraine, 50% of the axis is now engaged in war efforts against western supported states. North Korea is itching to flex its increasingly powerful war fighting capabilities and China is very much on a knife edge in efforts to subdue Taiwan’s independence plus take control of other China Sea territory.
Is it not time for a sea change in our national politics (UK, EU, US and others) to drop the self-serving focus on border reinforcement and nation centric only policies and wake up to a global threat that is far greater and more complex than humanity has ever faced? |

"Russia and China's economy are far too dependent on the "west" exporting goods and resources.
For both countries to engage in a global conflict would be financial suicide."
Respectfully Russia and China are industrial powers in their own right and continue to develop capabilities without western aid. Further their authoritarian governments are not inclined to think in western economic terms to fuel internal economies when they believe they can tip the balance from being western dependent to axis powerful. |

Sadly Western countries have had their heads too far up their own backsides to realise this growing threat.
So short sighted. Iran is ideologically committed to the destruction of the Jewish State. Russia feels NATO wants to destroy her. China wants Taiwan reunited with China, they've always wanted it since the days of Chairman Mao.
The sooner our elites understand this, and stop being such incompetent clowns. They can work to counter this threat. |

You're running on the premises that the leaders of these countries think like us. They don't. Saddam for example launched an attack on Kuwait which to the rest of the world was ridiculous. Putting the world against Iraq, didn't stop him though. Another example Hamas attacking Israel on October 7th was suicidal. Right. Israel would destroy Gaza. Well it didn't stop Hamas and their Iranian backers from carrying out the attack. |
