In contrast, local authority housing waiting lists have increased from 1.1million in 2010, to 1.6million. At this current rate of 45,649, if maintained, it will take 35 years to build enough affordable homes for those on the waiting lists, assuming no more people are added. Is this a reasonable expectation that Labour can maintain if they win the election. " I would hope they build more and use this new figure as the minimum going forward.
