Looks like some in the EU is finally addressing the blunders of Tiny Blair when he lobbied and pushed for Eastern European countries being fast tracked into the EU.
Do they have the stomach to do what needs to be done regarding Hungary though?
Or will they cave and watch as the stability of the EU is threatened resulting in great uncertainty about the strength of the Euro |

Is the EU “stable”?
Looking at France, Germany, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, it looks anything but stable.
I’m not convinced whatever Hungary does is going to make any material difference. |

Hungary do seem the black sheep at the moment. Is this still about the judiciary not being independent or something like that. Seems the EU have already withheld funds for not meeting the rules |

The EU/EEC was *never* just a trading organisation. Ted Heath was talking about ‘ever closer union’ in the early 70’s. |

It absolutely was once just trading organisation. Just because a group of people wanted it to be more and there arguments eventually won out doesn't mean that, that's its pre determined destiny from the outset.. |

Those countries depend on UK buyers of both their end products and also supply chain components or they would loose the income - all £96bn of it, that they come to depend on to prop up their economies.
The bottom line is neither we, nor they need the EU because we trade with companies in individual countries that happen to be in the EU, not with the EU itself (as if it were a body corporate who distributes the goods traded), and so it’s stability as a political body is neither here not there frankly. |

The people selling the goods who have now to look for new markets or reduce their output?
or
The people using the goods to feed themselves along with products such as medicines, steel for industry etc. who now have to look for food and goods from elsewhere?

Basically it would be bad for everyone.EU stands a little more chance of recovering but the scenarios where we would recover first I don't really want to imagine because there would have power and I don't like that idea much |
