"What was this guy thinking when he was talking about eating cheap hormone-injected beef from Australia and then suggesting we should import thousands of tons of it to the U.K. then he starts backtracking like a school kid when he realised hormone injected meat is illegal in the U.K. as a farmer he has seriously pissed me off the reason Australian beef is so much cheeper is because they don’t have as many rules or regulations as we do over here rant over anyone else think the same …" ,,,, I think you should give the mogg a break , the poor chap has been trying to find a Brexit benefit ever since 2016 , he even had a spell as minister for Brexit benefits when he couldn't find one , so I can fully sympathise with him if he thought he had found one , there is no wonder he got over exited ,( until faced , Once again by the facts ) so instead of pointing out his failings , I say "keep on going Moggy there's a benefit of Brexit out there somewhere , there has to be , and I believe you are the one to find it "

"I’m old enough to remember when hormone treatment was permitted in the U.K. in beef and chicken (capons). I never used the system myself, although there were clear performance and economic advantages, the negative perception of the public outweighed the benefits. I don’t propose to go into the ins and outs of using hormones in livestock any more than I would the pros and cons of the contraceptive pill or gender transitioning, but it seems ludicrous to ban the use of hormones in the U.K. but allow hormone treated products to be imported from Australia or the USA. I won’t even begin to voice my objections to fois gras readily imported from France!" Ah yes. The protected industries. I've no idea whybwe let imports of that vulgar practice in. I was really hoping it would have been banned by now.

"Hence drinks made from squashed grapes can only be called wines if you can get pissed on them. It is ironic that Canada, the liberal left’s poster country of all that is on message, is the biggest supporter of hormone use in beef. Is Justin Trudeau any less of a man because he had consumed beef containing female hormones?" It does seem at odds. I was surprised he was voted back in in the last election particularly after the debacle on vaccinations and blocking bank accounts of the unvaxxed He got very totalitarian.

"This is a statutory entitlement, and it has existed and been implemented for several decades, by Governments of all stripes. Severance payments were made and accepted by outgoing Labour Ministers between the Blair and Brown years, as well as during the Administration in 2007, and by Liberal Democrat Ministers during the coalition. To ensure transparency, severance payments are published in the annual reports and accounts of Government Departments. As an example of the previous operation of this provision, the data published in 2010 indicated that severance payments made to Labour Ministers in that year amounted to £1 million. I realise that your dictionary of 'words applicable to Tories' has quite a limited vocabulary, but I'm sure you could find something more appropriate if you tried.

"Ive been Labour all my days, but now I question the whole political system as nothing has changed, they the politicians insist on change but when power is won. The excuses come in, I am waiting for labour to get in and they are already been groomed by the MSM, and when they do, ho no the tories have done this and that and the other its criminal, but also all we promised cannot be done sorry. If that happens im truly done with politics. Done listening to what they say (I think I am there already) and do my own thing regardless, as long as others are not effected. #So tired of a two party system that only works for them and their mates." . ; Sadly , very difficult to argue with

Your prejudice getting the better of your argument again. I note that you still decline to criticise Kitty Ussher, who you will recall resigned citing a desire to "prevent embarrassment to the government" after allegations that she also temporarily changed the designation of her "main" home for tax purposes to reduce her tax bill. Ussher's main home was in London, but in order to reduce her capital gains tax bill by £3,420 she temporarily designated her Burnley house as the main residence for one month while it was sold.

"Good job for Mogg he wasn’t on performance related pay!" Just as well he is fighting his own way in life and is now a very successfull news channel presenter. Using your log Labour ministers would receive nil pay as none of them could get elected. Maybe the more rational minded and tolerand members of society recognise how hard cabinet ministers have to work. The news channel which currently employs him recognises his talents and unlike the BBC always has commentators presenting both sides of an arguemt . The Gary Lininkers of this world are a vocal but irrelevant minority and such individuals make no attempt to be impartial. At least Jabob Lees Mogg treats everyone equally and allows everyone an opinion . His redundancy pay is so small it would hardly be noticed compared to the overall payroll. There are people on benefits receiving in excess of £20°0 a month. . His severance pay equates to about eight months pay of just one claimant .

"To take it away from the party politics , if someone is an MP of any party and is then asked to be a minister ,with extra money for extra responsibility , why should they get a severance pay when they stop being a minister , they will still be receiving their MPs salary , there may he a logical answer but I can't see it " I'd like to know also.
